The US has refused to remove its nuclear weapons from Germany
The German lawmakers took a decision on the withdrawal of America’s nuclear weapons from the nation’s territory as early as 2010, but these arms are still in place, Dagdelen said. "We stand by our position: the US nuclear weapons must go,"
"The US administration gives the impression that they do not want allies, just loyal vassals,"
Good article 'N' thank you. Britain is the USA's handmaiden/vassal - the 'unsinkable aircraft carrier'. "Royal Air Force Lakenheath is a RAF military base that is run and operated by the US Air Force. It exclusively hosts American troops. It is located in Suffolk, in the eastern part of the United Kingdom." And it's nuclear - I know because I had a contract there in 1979.
I now understand why the pentagon was freaking out this week when the Russian frigate carrying Zircon hypersonic missiles docked in Jeddah (Saudi Arabia). Their nest is very close!
The Saudis have long moved on and the old masters still don't want to see that the divorce is permanent! The Saudis didn't have to go to a court since their marriage was verbal.
Interesting link, thanks. It's a shame that the article got RAF Fairford so mixed up. Fairford has been hosting some interesting (and v noisy) aircraft over the last year.
My good friend Richard Moore started his engineering degree with BAC, Greg, and was involved with Concorde in the 1960s at Fairford. Brilliant engineering - I don't think it was ever beaten. He knew 'Trubby' very well.
OTOH - we have been discussing the 1960s Moon-Shot 'spoof' over at TBP - the comments are hilarious if you have time - and still no real answer if it was fake or real. I suspect it was fake (60/40) but I stay open minded - the evidence is compelling on both sides: https://www.theburningplatform.com/2023/04/10/we-went-to-the-moon-count-on-it/ Written by an engineer, Steve C, I know him so well - very professional. What do you think?
Thanks for the interesting TBP article. I have never doubted that the moon landing was real, on July 20, 1969. I remember it very well although at sea at the time. I'm an aircraft engineer.
Later in life, we (my wife and I) got to know the wife of the man who headed NASA's mathematical (?) division that created the lunar shot on board computer. Yes it did have a proper name but that escapes me at the moment. He had died by the time we got to know her. She took us on a tour of Cape Canaveral and pointed out the parts that he and his team had designed for the shot. A fascinating day. I'm with Steve C here. If people wish to believe it didn't happen, I don't really care.
However, I wholeheartedly agree with him, that - "In the final analysis, NASA is made up of just another bunch of political hacks that do as they’re told by their masters. Witness the fact that they’ve been involved in promoting the global warming scam up to their collective necks."
Thanks Greg - your expertise is welcome - it is well over my pay grade. Like you, a few of my friends are also engineers (I love them!), one is ex BAC and was involved in the Concorde project. They all say - of course US went to the moon. I will always believe an engineer over any other puffed-up techy - they have their feet on the ground, if not, the bridges would collapse! :-)
The presence of nuclear weapons in storage in the EU is something required by NATO and the EU. There were angry cries when Bush removed most of the weapons in 1991. Now there are perhaps a few hundred remaining, mostly bombs in forward storage. As I recall the thinking was the US might not come to the aid of the EU should the Russians arrive so the weapons were as way to ensure US involvement.
Anybody who understands tactical nuclear weapons knows the command and control of them once in the field is not viable. That Army Captain seeing his forces being overrun might use them with a possibility of uncontrolled escalation. Bush understood that and removed them. The few that remain are in an endless struggle; I suspect the US military would rather them out. The politicians on both sides bicker as they will.
The last time Russians forward deployed nuclear missiles the US responded with the Ground Launched Cruise Missile (GLCM). It was specifically developed and deployed to get the Russians to remove the SS-20 mobile launchers. Today there is little need for that sort of thing given the ability of the US to strike nearly anywhere in less than a day. The Russians (and maybe the Chinese) manuevering hypersonics might affect that capability so we are back to the eternal race.
In today's world nuclear weapons are likely obsolete except as a political tool. The USAF insists it can use conventional precision weapons should a conflict arise - assuming that they can be manufactured in quantity. But that nuclear rabbit has escaped the hat so turning back is near impossible.
The US military architecture was obsoleted in 2018 after V. Putin announced the fielding of Khinzal (mach 9-12), Zircon (mach 9-12), Avangard (mach 27). These missiles cannot be intercepted by any existing NATO ABM system. The fastest Patriot missile is mach 4.2 (supersonic). That's less than the Iranian Bavar 373 missile (mach 5-6: hypersonic).
The US military posturing in the world relies on aircraft carriers costing $14 billion each and F-35 "stealthy" fighter jets costing $100 - 150million each. If they were to attack China or Russia, a single hypersonic missile would be enough to take out a $14 billion aircraft carrier + its payload (50+ aircrafts!).
As for F-35, it has NEVER reached FOC since it was inducted 8 years ago because it's plagued with 800+ software bugs that Lockheed cannot fix. Last months all 900 jets that were delivered around the world were grounded and that is not the first time that the entire fleet is grounded. How can NATO rely of F-35 to take on China or Russia is a mystery to me. BTW: It's stealthy on paper but even Hamas in Gaza was able to lock on the Israeli F-35 using stone age weapons but lacked a long range missile to take it down.
With a hypersonic missile flying at mach 27, who needs a nuclear a weapon?
If you calculate just the kinetic energy of that beast, it's enough to destroy bunkers 100 m underground. In fact, if NATO attacks Russia, tanks won't be needed in Europe. All their stockpiles of nuclear weapons in the EU undergrounds will be exploded using hypersonic missiles with only conventional war heads.
Should I mention that the pentagon cancelled another hypersonic missiles project in March after the failure of another test? It took the Russians 17 years to develop these beasts when George Bush was playing hide and seek in Afghanistan with the Taliban.
And it's George Bush who pushed the Russians in this direction in 2001 by withdrawing from the arms treaty that was signed by Reagan and Gorbachev in the 80s.
As with all thing defense related we rarely know truth until a war happens. Thankfully. I was impressed that the SR-71 doing a turn required an extraordinary amount of space. At Mach 3, a huge force happens; at Mach 27? Not totally impressed by speed.
Quite agree that the few warheads in the EU are more than obsolete; doubt planners expect any utility from them. And their security is really a PITA. Trump was right in wishing for all US troops out of Germany despite a great hospital there. Had Trump continued on the US presence in the EU would have been much lowered.
I have no idea about any specific vulnerabilities of the F-35, as with all such aircraft, there remain birthing pains. OTOH, the B-21 was delivered meeting both cost and schedule desires. We will see if a great improvement over the B-2. And the future fighter/companion aircraft sets are hidden away from pesky eyes.
Indeed treaties have been abandoned by both sides nearly everywhere. The Russia under Putin is much different as he has accumulated wealth and power. Meanwhile, the US bumbles along. We will see if adults return. At the moment the various forces are trying to accumulate as much wealth as they can, mostly at our expense.
Denmark bought 50+ F-35 10 years ago and 0 jet has been delivered. It's risky to buy a fighter jet that hasn't even reached full operational capability. See what's happening to South Korea - they bought jets that cannot fly:
F-35A Fighters Unreliable, 'unready 234 times over 18-month period' – mRNA Fighter Jets!
This just came in from one of my Chinese readers. The American leadership are morons - they have no idea what they are up against - and their jets seem to work! Live off Taiwan:
What people don't understand about the US military is that Generals are politicians. They are not selected because they're smart people, but because they're political tools for the White House and money making machines for the MIC. There are quotas in the US military that limits the number of Generals (Army, Navy, Air Force, National Guard) and once a person retires or dies, the president selects a replacement with his own political objectives in mind. The same way it happens with the Supreme Court candidates. The US military has become a fertile soil for identity politics and affirmative action.
That's why you see the USA firing 2 missiles ($800,000) from 2 F-22 ($85,000 per hour of flight each) against a $12 Chinese weather balloon... Only geniuses in the Army can pull off such a brilliant response to a deadly threat to our nation!
In contrast, look at what the Russians did in the Black Sea when the $50million US drone approached Crimea last month. 2 Su-27 pilots just spread a couple of litters of kerosene on the drone to send it into the sea! That's ~ $500 vs $50million!
Who is really in charge of the country is anyone's guess! The Deep State? the President? the Congress/Senate? the Supreme Court? the Military?
.... The number of attempts to ban books nearly doubled in the US last year,....
I used to buy everything I needed from Amazon until 2016 (15 years) and was spending more than $5000.0 per year. When they censored a book that I was going to buy, I closed my account and never looked back.
We the people are our own enemies. If the global predators attack us and we don't fight back, what will stop them from doubling down?
Good question 'N' - they always double down. When you are immersed in lies there is nowhere else to go. I know when I have told a lie, even a white one, I have to go on doubling down to maintain the illusion.
The end result of course is the loss of trust and when that happens it takes more than coercion to get it back. I believe that we are at, or approaching, this final end-point. At which time time the whole house of cards collapses, the music stops, the chairs are rearranged and the game begins anew.
Once again, I can't watch that u-tube link, I boycott it, but I've seen my share of witches so I'd like to think I know, but if any witch puts a spell on me, then I hope she is worth it.
I've met a witch or two in my time Ken - Jezebels all - but I made sure I left with my 'wallet'! Here we have a lingua franca problem:
"In the UK, a male wallet is a female purse, which a woman keeps in her handbag. As opposed to the American way, where a wallet is kept in a purse. How we'd say it in Britain: "I keep all my change and credit cards in my wallet (male) but in my purse (female)."
And then, when I was in Texas, I asked for a 'rubber' (to erase my pencil error), and the Joe laughed his socks off, after which i understood. I have made many faux pas like this in France, Spain, and across the world - not to mention South Africa; where a Braai is a BBQ and a Bakki is your truck but which is in UK our pickup. You have a 'station wagon' we have an 'estate car'
I won't talk about Hong Kong but it was Eastern delight - and Nam was something else. But I know you like poetry and avoid the Tube so here are the words:
"Things have come to a pretty pass
Our romance is growing flat,
For you like this and the other
While I go for this and that,
Goodness knows what the end will be
Oh I don't know where I'm at
It looks as if we two will never be one
Something must be done:
You say either and I say either,
You say neither and I say neither
Either, either Neither, neither
Let's call the whole thing off.
You like potato and I like potahto
You like tomato and I like tomahto
Potato, potahto, Tomato, tomahto.
Let's call the whole thing off
But oh, if we call the whole thing off
Then we must part
And oh, if we ever part, then that might break my heart
But oh if we call the whole thing of then we must part
And oh, if we ever part, then that might break my heart
So if you go for oysters and I go for ersters
I'll order oysters and cancel the ersters
For we know we need each other so we
Better call the calling off off,
Let's call the whole thing off.
I say father, and you say pater,
I saw mother and you say mater
Pater, mater Uncle, auntie let's call the whole thing off.
I like bananas and you like banahnahs
I say Havana and I get Havahnah
Bananas, banahnahs Havana, Havahnah
Go your way, I'll go mine
So if I go for scallops and you go for lobsters,
So all right no contest we'll order lobster
For we know we need each other so we
Better call the calling off off,
Let's call the whole thing off.
As I said in my Letter Ken - we Brits will always stand by you patriots because the world needs you to save it - we are puny - you are powerful - let's call the whole thing off! :-)
Hello. Excellent work, thank you very much. That video animation on the collapse of America very helpful. If I may attach my link on the witch of the south (very good title) which might amuse if nothing else.
Thank you for your kind words 'BM' - much appreciated and encouraging to know my scribbles are valued as likewise are yours. I shall link your Stack in my Letter soon. My mission is simple - to spread the Word - and if only one is saved then it is all worthwhile. Excellent links thank you which I shall get to as soon as time allows.
The world is full of false prophets but the Good Book provides a means of sort the wheat from the chaff - (but that's another parable): "How might a person recognise ‘wolves in sheep’s covering’? Jesus gave a basic guideline along with an illustration: “By their fruits you will recognize them. Never do people gather grapes from thorns or figs from thistles, do they? Likewise every good tree produces fine fruit, but every rotten tree produces worthless fruit; a good tree cannot bear worthless fruit, neither can a rotten tree produce fine fruit. Every tree not producing fine fruit gets cut down and thrown into the fire.” [Matthew. 7:16-19]
Thank you and thank you for the Matthew quote. I had to look a little more closely at the original text and have found yet more interesting things. I get exhausted by all the thoughts I am given!
So do I 'BM' - the intensity and extent of the information flow is exhausting. I have never worked so hard in my life and I am meant to be retired! But for me it's not work - it's fun and really worthwhile as I meet so many wise and wonderful posters on this great platform.
“If the people were to ever find out what we have done, we would be chased down the streets and lynched.”
— George H. W. Bush, 1992
George, the Global South was watching you and they are going to lynch your successors. They never forgot any insults, thefts and crimes committed by your oligarchs.
My Chinese readers confirm your assertion 'N' - they haven't forgotten anything over 400 years (so says my good friend Liu). You know the history so I won't stress it. - but they are coming for the NeoCons - no doubt. And somehow I think they know it.
End US, West world hegemony: Russia's new foreign policy doctrine
"The Russian Federation intends to give priority to the elimination of vestiges of the dominance of the United States and other unfriendly countries in world politics," the document said.
Russia would aim to "create the conditions for any state to reject neo-colonialist and hegemonic aims," the 42-page policy read.
"The Russian Federation intends to give priority to the elimination of vestiges of the dominance of the United States and other unfriendly countries in world politics," the document said.
...as saying that a priority will be given to offering an alternative to the dominance of the US dollar so that it is no longer the world's reserve currency. If and when that happens, the USA will face collapse.
The first BRICS currency blueprint will be revealed in South Africa in August 2023.
We'll analyze what they're proposing....
Note: Some people are still arguing that Yuan cannot dethrone the USD without even asking themselves whether China had that intent or not.
The New World Order plan is to use the upcoming BRICS currency to dethrone the USD, not to use PetroYuhan!
This doesn't mean that the Yuhan is not gaining momentum. Last year, 96.7 trillion yuan (about $14.14 trillion) of transactions were recorded by the People’s Bank of China (PBoC).
Expect an exponential growth from now on. Remember XI's visit to Moscow last month?
Putin decided to do business with the Global South in Yuhan. We ain't seen anything yet!
The below chart shows you clearly that the new commodities based currency WILL dethrone the USD since it will be backed by resources from Russia, Saudi Arabia, Iran, China, Brazil, Venezuela (from the list only).
The report shows only the top 10, meaning that the UK is somewhere after Venezuela or even at the bottom since these are proven reserves of natural resources that may even never been exploited if WW III hits in the next months.
The markets are only based on currently exploited resources but the BRICS geniuses are evaluating their potentials before deciding how to design a currency that is stable and sustainable in the coming century.
The problem with the City is that speculators are moving their bubbly assets to other financial centres. The UK has an external debt of ~$9Trillion and a GDP of ~$3Trillion, meaning that most assets in the City are foreign and may disappear any time! (CIA World Fact Book).
So Peter, Austrian Peter, lucky for Austria I reckon at the end of WWII - the binding agreements that were made. But that was then and now is the present and time moves on.
In my next post at my Substack place, to be posted next Monday, there is going to be an image of some plants already presented and how they were then versus how they are now - sort of a compare and contrast sort of post with the reader understanding the passage of time that we all experience.
Time moves in one direction only is my absolute presupposition (essentially something that is understood that it can't be "proven" - that is why it is supposition" - but one lives their life by it accordingly). The thing is my before and after images will prove how quickly a little tomato sprout can grow into a plant already flowering and ready to share fruit. Question I have in my own mind is whether I ought clip the flowers when the plant is so young and still indoors, but I think that would cause more harm than good, so I won't clip the flowers, but you would be impressed by the growth rate of these plants that I have been tending. On Monday I will share the images along with the image of a chicken jigsaw puzzle.
So, there you have it - the scoop on my next post!
All I can say Ken, I shall really look forward to your prints and in the meantime, Google says: "Stephen Hawking proposed three arrows of time: psychological time, thermodynamic or entropic time, and cosmological time". I think I shall remain in the timeless netherworld, because; "The Arrow of Time concept was developed by Arthur Eddington (1882-1944 AD) in 1927 and it is still an unsolved general physics problem."

The German lawmakers took a decision on the withdrawal of America’s nuclear weapons from the nation’s territory as early as 2010, but these arms are still in place, Dagdelen said. "We stand by our position: the US nuclear weapons must go,"
"The US administration gives the impression that they do not want allies, just loyal vassals,"
.

Good article 'N' thank you. Britain is the USA's handmaiden/vassal - the 'unsinkable aircraft carrier'. "Royal Air Force Lakenheath is a RAF military base that is run and operated by the US Air Force. It exclusively hosts American troops. It is located in Suffolk, in the eastern part of the United Kingdom." And it's nuclear - I know because I had a contract there in 1979.
https://militarybases.com/overseas/united-kingdom/ The 'special relationship' goes deep.
Good link!
I now understand why the pentagon was freaking out this week when the Russian frigate carrying Zircon hypersonic missiles docked in Jeddah (Saudi Arabia). Their nest is very close!
https://militarybases.com/overseas/saudi-arabia/
The Saudis have long moved on and the old masters still don't want to see that the divorce is permanent! The Saudis didn't have to go to a court since their marriage was verbal.
Adieu Amérique!

This just came in from one of my Chinese readers. The American leadership are morons - they have no idea what they are up against - and their jets seem to work! Live off Taiwan:

Use; https://www.deepl.com/translator (via China - but it doesn't translate Chinese to English - I wonder why?)
Well I guess it's the Intelligence alphabet soup Agencies having taken over this formally great country 'N' and wrecked it. My friends at TBP published and exposé a while ago which rings true to me: https://www.theburningplatform.com/2023/03/06/people-behind-biden-announce-creation-of-formal-national-surveillance-state-yet-no-one-seems-bothered/
(I can't remember if I've posted this before)

Thanks for that reminder.
“the truth will out” (Shakespeare from The Merchant of Venice.) is so true.
‘HAGS’ (Xerox loves acronyms): Honesty, Authenticity, Genuineness, Sincerity
what a great acronym.
Yes Greg, and in the 1970s they actually lived it and gained my eternal commitment.
Witches to the north the south the east and the west......witches everywhere this way and that....
I met a witch at the crossroads and I said to her - which way does the wind blow witch?
She had no answer for me and I went along my chosen path....
I looked back at her and she smiled.
Witches - can't live with em, can't live without em....
I like my witches sassy, stewed, and perky.
I like to look them in the eye when I talk to them....
I don't mind witches, I like em....but some of
the ladies around these days seem
more akin to demon spawn
than a witch mindful.
Demon spawn are to be avoided - they are harmful.
Anyhow, I told her, the fine witch at the crossroads - I said to her, the wind is at my back....
"See you later honey" I said when I smiled back walking down the path I chose.

I posted this poem here as well - I think it is kind of funny and I think snakes wrap around for good reason.

Moreover, I think Twitter just made a big mistake when the tried to "cancel" Substack....dimwits.
Salvete
You are a remarkable poet Ken (not Bert!) - go get a Substack - we need you!
Witches - the problem is identifying them - you need deductive reasoning Ken:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H9PY_3E3h2c
So if you like pyjamas and I like pyjahmas,
I'll wear pyjamas and give up pyajahmas
For we know we need each other so we
Better call the whole thing off
Let's call the whole thing off.
You say laughter and I say larfter
You say after and I say arfter
Find more lyrics at ※ Mojim.com
Laughter, larfter after arfter
Let's call the whole thing off,
You like vanilla and I like vanella
You saspiralla, and I saspirella
Vanilla vanella chocolate strawberry
Let's call the whole thing off
But oh if we call the whole thing of then we must part
And oh, if we ever part, then that might break my heart
So if you go for oysters and I go for ersters
I'll order oysters and cancel the ersters
For we know we need each other so we
Better call the calling off off,
Let's call the whole thing off.
I say father, and you say pater,
I saw mother and you say mater
Pater, mater Uncle, auntie let's call the whole thing off.
I like bananas and you like banahnahs
I say Havana and I get Havahnah
Bananas, banahnahs Havana, Havahnah
Go your way, I'll go mine
So if I go for scallops and you go for lobsters,
So all right no contest we'll order lobster
For we know we need each other so we
Better call the calling off off,
Let's call the whole thing off.
As I said in my Letter Ken - we Brits will always stand by you patriots because the world needs you to save it - we are puny - you are powerful - let's call the whole thing off! :-)
Great but doesn't quite work in deepest Tenesee where its Orysters!
LOL - we celebrate diversity Greg - Ha ha

I do hope they survive, because Substack's financials are not encouraging. I think they should do an IPO limited issue for all their authors - I would buy some shares! https://healthimpactnews.com/2023/venture-capital-backed-substack-latest-big-tech-company-to-report-huge-financial-losses/
“If the people were to ever find out what we have done, we would be chased down the streets and lynched.”

George, the Global South was watching you and they are going to lynch your successors. They never forgot any insults, thefts and crimes committed by your oligarchs.
What goes around comes around!
My Chinese readers confirm your assertion 'N' - they haven't forgotten anything over 400 years (so says my good friend Liu). You know the history so I won't stress it. - but they are coming for the NeoCons - no doubt. And somehow I think they know it.

End of the unipolar world formalized!

That's a great link - thanks 'N'
Thanks. I read this line:
We ain't seen anything yet!
https://amsterdamfox.com/economy/increase-in-international-payments-in-chinese-yuan/
Thanks 'N' excellent link and I am on board with your forecast.
It's happening faster than I expected also the year on year increases are amazing. Thanks.
Yes, it's taking me by storm too Greg - moving much faster than I expected.
The below chart shows you clearly that the new commodities based currency WILL dethrone the USD since it will be backed by resources from Russia, Saudi Arabia, Iran, China, Brazil, Venezuela (from the list only).
https://sonar21.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/image-17.png
So where's UK - exactly my point. I think the City is losing now.
https://www.standard.co.uk/news/politics/london-equity-market-paris-france-brexit-city-b1039723.html
That's a stunning chart 'N' - thanks - where do you get this stuff?
The list in tabular format can be found below - I just preferred to keep the image since the data is all over the place.
https://www.basicplanet.com/top-10-countries-natural-resources-world/
So Peter, Austrian Peter, lucky for Austria I reckon at the end of WWII - the binding agreements that were made.
You know the direction time moves in don't you?
The future!
Happy Easter.
Ken
All I can say Ken, I shall really look forward to your prints and in the meantime, Google says: "Stephen Hawking proposed three arrows of time: psychological time, thermodynamic or entropic time, and cosmological time". I think I shall remain in the timeless netherworld, because; "The Arrow of Time concept was developed by Arthur Eddington (1882-1944 AD) in 1927 and it is still an unsolved general physics problem."
Happy Easter to you too
