Thank you for an invigorating read!

Being a squashed Brit, I think I'm more mongrel than Anglo Saxon but I sort of globalised myself before it was fashionable (and weaponised). I enjoy the company of people who have the same values and humour - irrespective of age, gender, ethnicity, status, etc.

Anyway, shame about the decline of the UK. Probably irreversible because we have been sliding for a long time but, hopefully, some individuals will survive and retain their humanity.

In the meantime, I'm rather glad to see Russia rising economically, socially and nationally. They had a very difficult 20th century, let's hope their return to religion and departure from communism serves them well.

Wishing you a panic-free solar eclipse!

Thank you Zarayna - it's always good the hear from you and the sharing of your wisdom. What surprises me is why so many Brits stay put, including most of my own family. Is it loyalty to the good ship 'Blighty', and with typical Anglo-Saxon stoicism, they are determined to go down with the captain? https://austrianpeter.substack.com/p/economic-reality-budget-2024-interest?r=hhrlz&utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=web&open=false

Thank you for replying, A.P.

I'm guessing that, although an increasing number of Brits realise that something is very wrong and we are collapsing, there is no leadership to light the way - let alone an attractive one. Also, we are all a little too fearful of losing our still comfortable condition in the hopes that somehow we can reverse and go back to 'normal.'

Unfortunately, free speech is under attack and censorship is growing. Few people really understand how systems work so there is little to encourage a spirit of self-determination, self-respect or a burning desire to protect our values.

Nevertheless, I wonder if, as abuses grow, our institutions continue to fail to deliver and our leaders' lack of respect for their constituents grows, a sufficient number of the public will come forth and effect a proper resistance.

I live in hope!

Hope is not a strategy my dear Zarayna - when the going gets tough, the tough get going. Time to exit before the Digital stockade closes in 2025. You are welcome here - I can fix it for you. The UK embryonic resistance is unlikely to succeed IMHO. Much better to observe from afar.

Blessings

How very, very kind of you!

I'm of the age, financial disadvantage and health status, that leaving would be impractical.

I have one ambition and that is to pass on - 'what I know before I go!' I'm hoping (that word again) that the internet keeps going as long as me. And that I can organise myself to put my explanatory thoughts into a readable order. However, I am uplifted by your offer. Thank you once again.

Kindest thoughts to you and yours.

My prayers are with my dear Zarayne, may our Great Creator walk with you in your mission to organise and perhaps Substack could be your vehicle? The power of words is in their persistence long after the author has passed.

Blessings

I think that Russia is too close to the WEF and that the inability of most to say what they believe there constricts them in their protests to the same.

Thanks for your reply.

You may well be right.

I simply hope the Russian people can maintain what appears to be an improved situation.

At the moment they seem to be on their way up, whilst we are deteriorating. (I also hope they might mount a better defence against the WEF than we are doing).

Cheers.

I think that they’re worried about the future. Worried that they will carry a debt for what is going on now.

I think we are all indebted! (I'm a Brit and we certainly are!)

Fingers crossed we can weather the storm and survive intact - thinner and more contrite.
