In fact, she has a few birds hatched after the silkie rooster had his way with momma buff!

Am I correct or not?

Bottom line - my daughter has some chickens - some buff ones - and one of those chickens when I was tending to it - I sort of wanted to make it my own.....but my daughter would have none of that - in fact.....just to get a bit personal - she admonished me for "not following instructions" when she left those birds at my place to tend to - but I just couldn't resist taking them out for a stroll - here I'll prove it:
Thanks Ken, but I thought it's maybe a little darker than a 'buff'? I was thinking of that ancient breed which I kept for years: https://dailychickens.com/rhode-island-red/ I found the cocks to be very protective and aggressive - he always attacked my daughters when they went down to collect the eggs. He would fly at them, talons on display and even a big stick was not enough to call him off!
On a second look, I think you might be right! Yes, it's not that dark - so let's agree - it's a buff!
Cheers Ken, I learned something new about this 'new' breed. When I set up my chicken coup - this is the breed I will go for, I guess.
I reckon - could be either (or neither) - they are "perty" similar in appearance. Seem though the Rhode Island bird - based on your anecdotal real-world experience, might be a tad more fiery in disposition!
~
I'm really looking forward to having some chickens soon - and the breed I'll try to get is one with good attributes including cold-tolerant!
~
I suspect in about 4 weeks I'll gets some young birds - 3 or 4 in my setup - that ought be that for egg supply assuming the birds are properly tended - and so the return on my investment - based on the way the price of eggs have been behaving will probably be 6-9 months - seems like a "no-brainer" to me P&S!
~
As for roosters, I might let one visit on occasion!
Great stuff Ken, getting to your other comments this weekend - very busy at present and my Part 2 today will be delayed until Sunday as I just ran out of time. I will post an apology Letter today for my paid subscribers.
Check out roosters Ken, the hens are more productive and settled with one around, and of course you can expand the flock at little expense (rooster food I guess!).

I hold no views on this, DEW or whatever - just observe, watch and think critcally.
A think that may be a "buff orpington" - but a skinny one in need of a better coop:

Thanks Robert - lovely looking lady - I subscribed.
I believe the changing climate is caused by the sun. Do you have any evidence to contradict that statement?
I agree Iain - the sun is the main |(or only) director of our climate. https://agupubs.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.1029/2002GL014782
‘Directed Energy Weapons.’ Really? Any evidence?
why you asking - figure it out yourself fore casting assessment -

And there is considerable evidence - but why should I tell U?
Thanks Ken, you took the words out of my mouth! I guess he also believes in "Climate Change" creating 'global warming' Ha Ha.
As to be expected from anonymous people.
So looks like no evidence.
