However, my ‘fall from grace’ was a reminder that (1) my garden needs attention and (2) I must apply more effort to my mundane chores so that I can focus on the ideas I have for a substack before it is polluted by big finance or controlled and censored by AI, or (3) I run out of time.
Your very kind offer of transport and accommodation is deeply appreciated and I thank you. Not only am I a little frail for such adventures (but what fun!) but I am somewhat tethered to ‘my’ home by financial and contractual constraints (long, sad story).

As far as psy ops and what is being done to the US general population for "perception management" of our collective condition? I am reminded of the infamous quote attributed to Philip K. Dick:

Recently, I believe the vast majority of the US's officially countenanced GNP is essentially "vaporware". Case in point, the market valuation of Tesla (driven by hype and hopes) was so far disconnected from their actual physical plant and sales volume/product performance that the recent 50% drop in stock value doesn't even come close to bringing their valuation into line with other similar businesses in US, let alone the rest of the world.
A strong gust of wind could knock this house of cards flat PDQ.
I have also noticed that those who's wealth recently consisted mostly of 1s and 0s in data centers have been feverishly converting that collectively hallucinated value into buying up any kind of physical property and/or businesses that do something besides manipulate financial leverage & arbitrage.
If this house of cards collapses, it will kill a lot of people, some of whom I know well enough to speak to. I really would rather not experience Weimer Germany level inflation or Great Depression level disruption, much less the scenario sometimes described as "The Great Taking" where the top corporate instruments of our oligarchy are made whole at EVERYONE else's expense.
Yes indeed Billy, I read that book and it has a sound basis of logic. The oligarchs want everything; they can never have enough because they are running frightened to death - fearing losing what they have, and fearing not getting what they want, which is eternal power. They pray to Mammon and have lost their spiritual connection to the Great Creator, they are sick in soul.
I was counselling a CEO many years ago, who was working 24/7 even though he was extremely wealthy. His family was suffering and he was a very unhappy person. I asked him, when he thought he had owned enough...he told me whatever he had, it would never be enough! Very sad. But it taught me a lesson too!
As an impoverished yachtsman, I know that "less is more" and that I can never own anything because I came here with nothing, and I will leave with nothing except a wealth of experiences and many friends.
