So much that is going on is very worrying, but thank you. On just one topic...

The failure of Neil Ferguson's Imperial College modelling was well known by many at the time as he had used his model to predict 'laughably', horrendous outcomes from previous scares, eg

2005 he predicted that up to 200 million could die from bird flu. Between 2003-2009 only 282 died world wide.

2009, swine flu, a ‘reasonable worst-case scenario’ was 65,000 UK deaths. 457 died in the UK

2001 modelling on foot and mouth lead to animals in neighbouring farms to be culled. More than 6 million cattle sheep and cows were culled at a cost of over £10billion to the UK economy!

2002 up to 50,000 would die from mad cow disease (BSE). 177 died. (All figures from The Spectator "Six questions that Neil Ferguson should be asked" 16 April 2020

Many, many people questioned his covid alarmist figures but the truth is that they served government purposes, at the time, leading to an economic shutdown and disaster from which it will take decades to recover.

So called experts? Be very very wary.

Excellent history Greg, thank you and of course you have highlighted the so obvious Globalist acolyte bought and paid for. It's amazing that the great unwashed are still buying into their ridiculous propaganda. There's no fixing stupid! I really don't think they need saving - some of my own family included.

May God rest their souls, Paul said it so well: "Let no man deceive you with empty words, for because of such things the wrath of God is coming upon the sons of disobedience. Therefore, do not be sharers with them; for you were once darkness, but you are now light in connection with the Lord. Go on walking as children of light." [Ephesians 5:6-8]

Yes, it is so sad. I don't want to see anyone go into that eternal torment.

Paul also said "..but test everything; hold fast what is good." (1Th 5:21) I've taken that a little out of context, but it is up to us to test everything. It is so sad that the people (sheeple?) are just accepting what they are told. However, I believe that that wake up call is not far away.

This is probably not the appropriate time to do this and I may not be able to find the link, but I came across some expression of sentiment regarding Paul on the SubStack Notes earlier today. If I can find it, I'll post the link here, if not I will cancel this post....maybe?

Well, hells-bells I couldn't find it, but I decided to post this anyhow.

I'm not in any manner whatsoever questioning wisdom from the past, but there have been enough anecdotal times when folks I have no reason not to respect have questioned the consequences of Saint Paul's behaviors and so I think I need to understand this better if I am going to give heed to his words.

~~~
As one who has a questioning mind in the first place, not necessarily a doubting mind like Thomas, but a mind that wants to get down to the nuance deep in the hole.....I haven't made my mind up about Saint Paul....was there more than one?
~~
I'm going to study this because I think it is important and I really appreciate this place P&S, but I wanted to share with you where I'm coming from.
Many thanks Ken for sharing and I agree that research is needed about St. Paul. I happen to admire most of his words and often quote him. This link my help: https://studyandobey.com/character-studies/paul-character-study/
I'm with you Ken, about the questioning mind. It's very important so to do. I came to know The Lord because I was challenged by my office mate and decided to set out to prove to myself that the bible was just a load of rubbish. Of course I found something completely different.
Most kind of you to express that. In 2021 I set a goal for myself to "Study the Bible" and whether P&S knows it or not he has really helped me in that goal, but it is a long-term effort I reckon.
Peace to you truly.
Lately seems all there is hype....and so what is the discerning mind to do?
GregB - you and I both know the models are flawed and so ways can be implemented with the numbers and underlying assumptions to get whatever answer is desired in the moment being how flawed the models as well as the ones using them are.
Yes, and knowingly manipulated to fool so many of the people. "The science is settled". No!!!!! True science is never settled. I despair.
No need for despair, but science has been corrupted no doubt.
I could give some real world examples of how one can manipulate numbers in a seeming professional manner assuming one has no integrity and lied on the ethics test.
Great article. However, it always irritates me when CO2 emissions are used as a yardstick or to point out hypocrisy e.g. Davos Private Jets. It is a non sequitur in light of the climate scam. CO2 is the gas of life, Carbon Credits and footprints are another fraudulent mechanism to steal money and bring in Totalitarianism.
Thank you Paul and yes, agree all you say. It's so sad that the general public have no idea what CO2 is - let alone what the propaganda says - they are confused babies unfortunately. Did they ever study the 'carbon cycle'? Perhaps not.
for sure - I mean trees grow better if there is more CO2 - it is part of the balance.
LOL Ken - such a simple truth - but the 80% idiots have no idea what CO2 is let alone how it impacts the carbon cycle. "He saying “Ignorance is bliss” originates in Thomas Gray's poem “Ode on a Distant Prospect of Eton College” (1742). The quote goes: “Where ignorance is bliss, 'tis folly to be wise.” Face it: you were better off not knowing that, weren't you?"
There go most happy ignoramuses.
With that said, I sort of agree that it is a non sequitur, but the semantics of that are nuanced - regardless, or as I prefer....irregardless - these elitist flying on jets left n right are proven hypocrites.
Expand full comment
Buffalo_Ken's avatar
Well, to an extent ignorance is bliss if one is living a happy life I reckon, but if things seem amiss, then ignorance must be part of the problem.
