Cash is king. Everyone cannot have and manage a bank account, no matter how hard they try. Barter will always be real, and another currency that they cannot control will rise from the ashes of all of this control they try to impose on us.

"Only a foolish nation abandons its currency, either in a currency union or in the form of physical cash. ... And any government that cannot see this is worse than foolish. It is acting in treason against its own people."

So true. I am trying to use cash more and more although the shops would prefer the ease of 'wavy wavy' credit cards. We will rue the day that governments are able to force us to use electronic means by which every bit of expenditure can be analysed.

"You've bought too much junk food this week, you will have to pay more for health insurance" or "you drove too far, destroying the atmosphere, so you will not be able to buy petrol for the rest of the month." ... "'We' have your best interests at heart!".

(The Gambia is beginning to sound nice!)
