Many thanks Rick, enjoy and I always appreciate critique - it's how I learn - and an oldie like me needs to get my head around a society which appears to have left rational and critical thought behind - maybe it's me?

Hahaha! I don't know much about you.

Protect and survive are interesting words to promote, what to protect and how to survive would be questions as starters.

Ok, so you are detailing the predicament so how do we adapt? I always begin the conversation with; begin by starting a garden. But most people don't want to get their fingernails dirty so I don't often get to describe the best way I know to start and tend a garden. I can force it in conversation but that doesn't stick in their minds (for various reasons). Or maybe they are fooling me to believe they don't have a secret garden!

I will try to answer Rick, and fill in a little. 'Protect and Survive' is a leaflet issued by HMG during the 1980s about how to protect and survive a nuclear attack and I adopted it to mean 'Protect our livelihood' and 'Survive the coming economic storm'. I linked in an earlier Letter, the Daily Mail: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-10603313/Government-Protect-Survive-leaflet-gave-tips-coping-nuclear-war.html AND Here's my Letter: https://austrianpeter.substack.com/p/as-ukraine-unfolds-no-nuclear-war?utm_source=twitter&s=w

During my childhood in the 1940s & 50s there was little fear of a nuclear holocaust but when JFK gave the Russians a 24 hr ultimatum and for thirteen days in October 1962 the world waited—seemingly on the brink of nuclear war. I believe this created the teenagers' drugs, sex and Rock 'n Roll age. I was 18 and felt the hopelessness which caused my group to "eat, drink and be merry" for tomorrow we die.

We really didn't think we would avoid a nuclear conflict at some stage in our lives. In the 1970s a great upwelling of self-sufficiency arose in UK and I joined in, starting a small holding deep in rural Somerset in 1977 and brought up my family with healthy living for 20+ years. When the four kids all left, I downsized and went cruising in my yacht finding Cape Town in 2000. It's a long story!

Here's the TV clip which started it all - 'The Good Life' on BBC:

I suppose chicken eggs would help with the cake making. Hahahaha!

I get that nuclear scare deal the PTB needed strict participation in the new scheme starting back then. I think Nixon sold out the whole planet to the fascists and they wanted all the surpluses in return. AKA ROI.

A yacht? Can't grow turnips floating out on the ocean. Did you fish much? Are your kids self-sufficient or at least growing food to eat? I know its not possible (to be self sufficient), but that clip is over riding my senses.

Yes, Yes LOL. I have been a sailor all my life - I love the sea, only place I feel safe, the ocean is your friend if you respect it (like all friends I guess). Yachties are the best advert for self-sufficiency and foraging in distant islands yields more than enough stores. Wind, (chargers and trailers) give enough power and solar supplements it, water-makers supplement rain collection. We fish all the time, trailing lures. All my kids have houses and gardens and live modestly.

Yes, the clip is a laugh - it was a comedy - and we all laughed at it, but it did motivate us as our unsinkable aircraft carrier batted away threats of nukes from time to time. I found out that self-sufficiency is a hard game, a myth if you will, but I did produce a Sunday dinner, with all the trimmings, from my own resources on one occasion. And the goat meat fooled the guests as did the gooseberry wine in Liebfraumilch bottles! The horseradish came straight out of the paddock.

I never got the pigs to do the digging - yet now they tell me that there is a thing called 'no-dig' method (now they tell me). Our horses gave us all the fertilizer we needed. My eldest daughter keeps bees, a large garden, chickens etc. All my children loved our rural life and have perpetuated it in their lives. We all avoid cities - always - this is where the SHTF IMHO.

.....Robinson, this IS a 'go' - once sufficient funds for full rollout have been raised - and yes, I'm aware the technology itself has already been patented; while there may well BE other devices, not sure how ready those are to be NECESSARILY implemented on a wide(r) scale relative to how much they're favored, for whatever reason.....do appreciate your reminding me of as much, though!

Robinson Ochoa's avatar

How much funding they are needing? What is your relationship with that company?.

The ROI or gain in water gravity devices is around 1.5 (50% overunity), this is very old and well knew to people that make experiments, was not implemented duo to traditional lower efficiency of electric generators (80%) and electric pumps, that with her inefficiencies eat the gain of the water gravity systems. But in the last decade, with the development of hi efficiency electric motor (95%) this kind of devices, now are an option for electric generation. The problem of this early designs is her big size, not fit a home.

Around year 2007, the water gravity devices were refined (removing the motor and pipes, with very clever ideas) upto be at human size and with power of 1 Mega watt, that devices were selled to private companies around the world for 160.000 $ each one, never in public. Around 2014 the inventor sold the design to boeing - army, of course they never will sell you one of this devices. But with the right financing we can replicate the refined device that can not be patented, because the inventor (that pass away, few years ago) give me the info: papers, drawings, photos, videos.

I don't know specifics where that's concerned - but, am certain as a result of PAINFUL experience that the owners ARE integral, trustworthy - and, can completely appreciate such considerations as you cite, Robinson - but, one difference perhaps: Flooid's model is readily scalable for both commercial & residential settings / needs.....do you know of anyone who IS in an immediate position to invest $25,000 or more? If so, be great for them to speak with them / him at the very least; these are otherwise DISCOURAGING times (as I'm sure you're all TOO aware.....)

Thank you David for your kind words - I am grateful to know that my work is appreciated (it's not everyone's cup of tea - many suffer cognitive dissonance, more so as economies fail).

I qualified as a company secretary in 1967 and first worked for the Marley Group, a role that gradually moved me towards management accounting, which was new in those days. As mainframe computers became ubiquitous in commerce my career move again in the direction of automated accounting and forensic analysis of company performance. I joined Xerox in 1977 and trained as a corporate systems consultant which I freelanced until I finally retired (for the third time) in 2009 at the standard age of 65 - I was tired then!

Corruption in corporations, and especially their 'window dressing' activities, has grown like Topsy since the Big Bang in 1987 when maladministration could be hidden under layers of algorithmic programming, and thus corrupt practices continued to expand and infiltrate other institutions of commerce and state as well as regulators, especially the big 4 audit companies, who operate in collusion with their clients under the cloak of 'consultancy services' - (re: 2008)

I was trading the markets in 1995-2001 (after I retired (2nd time!) from my businesses) and did well, not because of my own investing brilliance, but because the markets were rising naturally and I couldn't help but organically grow my portfolio (for my retirement). But then the Dot.com crash happened, and the run ended. I was well hedged but I lost on one, Marconi (as many did), because their financial reports were fraudulent and billions of debt were held off-balance sheet.

I had always been a 'value investor' and studied the figures and reports for opportunities for gain - a la Warren Buffet . The turning point came in 2001 when I realised corruption had become endemic in 90% of institutions enhanced by the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act which eliminated the protections of 1933 Glass-Steagall Act's restrictions against affiliations between commercial and investment banks in 1999 by the corrupt Clintons, which some argue set up the 2008 financial crisis which brought the world to the brink of complete economic disaster. My e-book, The Financial Jigsaw - Part 1, explains much of this in detail. Henry Paulson's book: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Brink-Inside-Collapse-Global-Financial/dp/1455551902 describes as it happened - a great read.

There have always been rouges in the markets but their influence in the past has been minimal. When I trained in the 1960s bookkeeping & accounting was manual and very difficult to forge. Thus I would conclude that corruption in high places accelerated after 1987 and it hasn't been fixed, even after the near-death experience of 2008/9 which will happen again - it's baked in the cake!

My essay sometime ago may help a better understanding of the corruption to be seen around the world now because the perpetrators never go to jail - until then - it can only get worse and build to a climax which I believe is not far off:

Thanks Greg, I really appreciate your support. It can be depressing but it can also offer opportunities. As Richard Bach writes in 'Illusions': "There is no such thing as a problem without a gift for you in its hands. You seek problems because you need their gifts"

In my long life, I have learned that most of my problems are not actually mine - people give me their problems! The first question I ask is "Whose problem is it?" Invariably I am able to give it back to them :-)

Well David you could be right, but I can at least point to some 4,000 years ago. This came up today - lots of links to keep you busy! And my contacts in China go back to 5000BC but translation is a pain and takes forever. Unfortunately my Chinese is worse than my Afrikaans - however my wife is fluent so that helps :-)

Excellent links David, thank you, I have speed-read some, which are familiar as I have read books like: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Orion-Mystery-Unlocking-Secrets-Pyramids/dp/0099429276 and many on ancient Egypt and the Great Pyramid which I have visited and entered the smaller one - together with the Sphinx.

I have also examined the machining techniques used in the Great Pyramid - let this short article indicate the anomalies:

https://www.theglobaleducationproject.org/egypt/articles/cdunn-3.php

Engineers around the world have confronted these problems and one solution is the use of a sonic drill - it would leave marks identical to those found on the inside of the sarcophagus. I think the Orion Mystery is probably right in determining the Giza Plateau having been constructed around 10,000BC - as the Sphinx faces the rising of the Leo at the spring equinox around 10,000BC - a short explanation: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0443649/trivia/ and some facts about Leo: https://www.space.com/16845-leo-constellation.html

This monument has clearly been re-engineered because the head is far too small and not in proportion with the lion's body. Furthermore the weathering is unmistakeable dating at least to before 6000BC. It is clear to me that the pharaoh Khufu hijacked the Giza plateau and the Great Pyramid for his own and left false 'evidence' of his claim to have built it.

His re-design of the head of the Sphinx is a clear give-away; as well as the fact that this pyramid is the most advanced of its kind and contains no artwork at all. All the others are merely poor copies (many have collapsed) and all are decorated.

There is no doubt in my mind that we know so little about pre-history and it presents a fascinating research project if only I had the time! Even now, organic matter was found preserved in one of the shafts which remains untested because I think the academic network is protecting their own false history.

I have read and analysed David Rohl's and I have a summary of his archaeological findings confirming beyond doubt that the accepted chronology of Egypt is out by at least 400 years. By correcting for this error, David proves that the Egyptian history is completely compatible with the Old Testament right down to all the characters involved for almost 2,000 years BC.

And finally - this maps your own work on ancient civilisations:

Always pleased to read your research David. I understand from my China contacts that their recorded history starts around 5000 BC and they say it's the oldest written history of all countries; but there is earlier archaeological evidence with the beginning of agriculture in Jericho and the Fertile Crescent around 9000 BC.: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OzuOz8Te3_Q

Then of course there are the mysterious undersea pyramids around Japan and elsewhere indicating civilisation prior to a the rise of the sea levels presumably when the ice caps started melting around 12,000BC. I am sure we don't yet have the knowledge to understand much of prehistory and conjecture allows all sorts of writers to profit like von Daniken in 'Chariots of the Gods'! As my good friends at Xerox in the 1970s used to say: "Sell the sizzle, not the steak"
