I cannot fathom what voters have decided in the US. But then again I couldn't quite understand how people nearly everywhere became so afraid. Of course as this pandemic arrived I became cautious and I imagined my public health officials were trustworthy so got in line for two jabs. Then data arrived. I feel horribly betrayed. I found that mouth/nose sanitation like the old days might work to avoid illness. At least I found something with a long record of success that was quite simple for me to make routine. I also obtained some HCQ and IVM for just in case. OTOH, I've always tried to do for myself and family, then those I found I could help, then charities I thought were honest. In my foolishness I imagined a world of people somewhat like myself. I guess not. Some prefer to be told what to do. At least in my military service I performed as required thinking it was for a greater purpose. I still hold trust in my service mates from long ago. But think my trust in authority now in question more than ever before. Clearly the US voter is not like me.

For FTX, the entire hubris of crypto is like tulips, isn't it? Except that FTX seemed a democratic party super-PAC and a way for founders to steal on a scale like Enron. And their biggest losers are "qualified" investors along with a lot of lesser fools. I recall reading "Smartest Guys in the Room" where the models had never anticipated real property price declines. I'll stick to REIT ETF's. OTOH, we know brokers always make money on transactions no matter what the market does. I've never bought into crypto as a store of value preferring a tangible or at the least a piece of paper (computer entry now) representing a share of a real asset. Who knows if I will be right, only money anyway.
