".. offering some firm evidence that the peak of CPI inflation may be in the past." The peak might be in the past, and Rishi might make a big thing of that, claiming it is of his doing, in the UK (it isn't) but the prices still go up every time we go to the supermarket, maybe not quite so fast but it is still painful, week on week.

"Plug ... is proud to offer its customers cost-effective green hydrogen, which is quickly becoming the molecule of choice for customers both large and small." This and some of the other quotes, sound like Birtspeak* to me!

My molecules of choice are O2, closely followed by C2H5OH.

I am pleased to see that investors see, at long last, that wholescale adoption of hydrogen, as a fuel source, is just pie in the sky.

"The group [CHARBONE] is fully committed to ... the decarbonization of our planet." Hold on just a minute! I'm a "carbon based life form"! Oh, I think I understand - "we are doomed, I tell you, doomed!". So the Albanese and Albion governments (plus many others) are also rushing to wipe us out. In answer to your question, "are they completely insane?" Oh Yes! "Stop the planet - I want to get off!"

Lovely Greg, thank you. Yes insanity comes in many forms especially doing the same thing and expecting a different result!

C2H5OH - propane burns cleaner then ethanol.

Making ethanol out of crops makes some sense but propane burns cleaner.

Using hydrogen for fuel conventionally makes no sense just like neither do EV's presently as manufactured - run the energy balance on what it takes to get the product manufactured and then what it takes to supply fuel - it is such a ironic waste of energy the "EV" vehicles of today....

Hydrogen if you want to get the energy out of it - how bout turning it into helium....but how is that ever going to happen when the children in Gaza continue to die day after day....it won't happen if that is the way it is going to go down....so...

Be prepared.

"C2H5OH - propane burns cleaner then ethanol.". That might be true but hops, water, fermented malted barley and propane do not a nice drink make. :)

At one time I thought there was potential for hydrogen as a conventional fuel, but no longer do I ascribe to that view. It is not easy to store....it is most "energetic" and it simply is not practical to purify it and put it to functional use.....there were some companies tried to use "salts" for storage purposes, but from an implementation standpoint it simply is not the same as natural gas or propane for that matter.

Lately propane is becoming my "go to" fuel in reserve. Just setup some heaters easy, cheap, and effective - moreover my backup generator(s) can be fueled by propane. Natural gas is not as easy to store residentially...but propane - no problemo!

PLUG was one of the few early "fuel cell" companies I never invested in because they seemed like nothing but BS from the get-go. I did invest in Ballard power - BLDP - they had one of the first functional PEM fuel cells if memory serves - but if you look at the charts over the last 20 years plus it is evident these companies were nothing but speculative plays and many lost lots of funds (currency?) cause while the mountains were high....the valleys always showed up after the glorious speculation wore off......and how do you tell when you have reached the peak beforehand?

~

Capstone - that damn company - get funded with billions and eventually went bankrupt - the micro-turbine was a good idea, but it never got off the ground.....since I sold out on that I've not looked back and presently my funds reside mainly in precious metal and lately for eff sake in Money Market's - even though a money market is likely dependent upon fiat currency - and faith continues to rapidly diminish....but as my brother said - if the shit really hits the fan....not only will a money market potentially become worthless, but so will cash - so you might as well get at least a bit of interest on funds with nowhere to go....I'm too old for the casino, but the system is rigged no doubt.

The system is indeed rigged Ken and there is nothing we can do until it collapses - best stay in PMs (my Krugers look good) and anything you can hold in your hand. The rest is just a magic money tree as it is wrtten.

"Let no man deceive you with empty words, for because of such things the wrath of God is coming upon the sons of disobedience. Therefore, do not be sharers with them; for you were once darkness, but you are now light in connection with the Lord. Go on walking as children of light, for the fruitage of the light consists of every sort of goodness and righteousness and truth. Keep on making sure of what is acceptable to the Lord; and stop sharing in the unfruitful works that belong to the darkness; rather, expose them for what they are."

Of course, with that said, lately I've been acquiring goods physical including this generator for both my main place and our getaway place. This thing is a piece of cake to setup and only cost $1000 in fiat.

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07Q1DLKBG?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1

I'm expecting the price on these babies (made in China of course) to go up precipitously in the near future and I'm seriously (not really, but maybe) contemplating ordering a few more for the hell of it and I'll just leave them in their boxes and have them as goods for sale or preferably barter - cause they are made in China and if China decides to forego sales in response to offensive behavior, then the diminishment of the fiat $ would be so rapid nobody who hadn't prepared in advance would likely be able to survive without help from neighbors who were good "Boy Scouts"....

Ha Ha - a good move Ken - when the SHTF barter will prevail! It's worth understanding how they worked local economies in years past: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Thomas-Turner-1754-1765-Oxford-Paperbacks/dp/0192818996

I'm sure that you will test them regularly. When a storm took out several sub-stations around our sub-division, in Virginia, several friends started up their standby generators, that failed within minutes, most in a catastrophic manner! No electricity for over a week was a problem for them.

I remember the Fuel Cell hype, years ago. This was definitely going to power all cars within a very short time! Oh yea?

It is easier when you can use propane as fuel - gasoline left alone for too long can gunk things up...in other words, I've started both my generators up and they both work and I have propane in supply and I'm ready.

I honestly think it would be easy money to buy these things up and store them for the future trading....but how many would it take for me to order before a "flag" got triggered?

So, I got what I need - you get your own if you think it will be of value. I consider these things - cheap insurance and I basically trust my neighbors and so if push comes to shove, I'm pretty sure my neighbors are going to appreciate that I'm in the neighborhood.

I'm not in this game for mammon - I play to win. Moreover, and lastly propane burns clean - gasoline would only be a fuel I'd consider if these things needed to start running 24/7. If so, I would make a few calls and I'm pretty sure I could have a 5000 gallon stainless steel tank with proper foundation installed on my property and that would be that.

If the authorities came by and said - you got no permit to install said tank - I would look them in the eye and say - it is here for a reason and then I would challenge them to take it away. If they tried, they might realize I play to win.

Watching the China and Indian economies go into a downward spiral is no surprise to me. For years I have watched the war on the middle class unfold. Knowing that the middle class creates wealth and when it shrinks, so do producer economies. All the while governments continue to get bigger and acquire more debt. A recipe for disaster that history should have taught these so called leaders. It is hard to believe they are so stupid and drunk with their imaginary power over us.
