And now we know why TheFed has dragged Its feet, the impediment is US Law. More lawyers here than anywhere I'm led to believe. I have a customer that deals in retail cash and he told me last week his bank in Dallas wouldn't take a cash deposit. He had to go into the bank and find someone with authority whom which he made a deal to only come once a week with cash. Stick that into your BOOM association and tell us what they think about that.
It seems to be all part of the push to have central government visibility over all your transactions. How else can it ensure that you are a model citizen, not producing too much of that sooty stuff they seem to worry about? Carbon, I think they call it. Also that you eat out healthily and consume only meat replacement products or veggies.
I have hunted in the SA Karoo with a sniper rifle (telescopic) at 200m for a clean kill of Kudu mainly. In SA I also had my trusty Berretta 9mm for concealed carry (illegal but nobody cares). Yes, it's the wild west but that's what makes life worthwhile - All this health & safety nonsense just castrates real men.
I agree that we need to keep our cash option, and that use it or lose it real.

Yes Rick we have lots of limitations dealing with cash here too and the EU limits are euro 1,000. They will continue turning the screw on cash but the idea is not to take it to the bank. Allow it circulate in the local economy and if you build up a hoard - buy gold! I just replied to a comment at TBP - you can read it here with a short video: https://www.theburningplatform.com/2023/04/18/boom-switches-platforms-global-trade-recovery-us-bond-prices-rising-the-fednow-use-cash-the-ripple-controversy-04-16-2023/

I think I'll stick to cash, as long as I can.
We are all doing in my locale, Bruton, Greg: https://www.somersetlive.co.uk/news/somerset-news/visit-trendiest-town-somerset-find-6353091
I love it - Bruton trendy! Must have changed a bit since we lived nearby. As long as they haven't changed The Chapel coffee shop, that's OK.
I had no idea you lived nearby Greg and yes the Chapel is a thriving up-market restaurant now plus lots of other places.
Start a garden and accumulate ammo.
Best advice ever Rick. In UK my ammo is 12-bore for rabbit, fox or pigeon. For protection I use BB in my BRNO 'under and over - half choke.' (https://www.guntrader.uk/guns/shotguns/brno/over-under/12-gauge). Wires and traps work and if I could get my hands on a Claymore I'd set them up on my perimeter! You US guys have extreme experience: https://www.libertysafe.com/blogs/the-vault/shotgun-ammo-101
