Great summary of Alternative Energy investments, by Boom. It confirms for me, why I don't gamble in stocks.
Why do governments, such as ours, always fall for such scams as Net Zero and EVs? The whole EV thing is such a scam. We have 2 children that run them, but for stop start local journeys only. They could write a book on their adventures when they tried to use them for long journeys. Such horror stories of broken charging points and rescues and that with considerable pre-planning beforehand.
Well... We have excellent "alternative energy" options. Sadly, they're in black projects, hidden away, so that We do not know We can draw on the energy We swim in. That We can access energy freely. For that would remove the point of accounting for Our energy added (the foundational function of money). In turn, that would remove that psychopath-promoting tool, leaving the psychopaths presently in control (by virtue of money) with no tool to power.
Not entirely following You... LOL! Yes, We all individually could own devices that give all the energy We need. And theoretically, one Person might experiment, have success, build a device, and share the details for Others to build. But People with the wherewithal might want a team to make it go faster.
I think the whole "alternative energy" concept from an investor's point of few is essentially a money pit. I can remember all the investment losses I experienced direct after investing in both fuel cell technology (FCEL, BLDP...) as well as the "micro-turbine" concept (Capstone - used to be CPST, but it is different presently....). Hard lesson learned on those roller coaster investments....hard lessons indeed.
I think with the benefit of hindsight, and greater awareness regarding "the science" of "climate change"....that the whole show is completely rigged.
Wall Street is a casino and alternative energy investments are money pits.
TSLA - at one time had value far exceeding common sense, and my guess is it remains very over-valued. We have two vehicles in our family, my wife and I. I 2010 Toyota vehicle and a 2013 Honda vehicle - they have been no trouble, still are reliable, and they a paid off in full.
I have no desire for an EV - but railroads that electrically powered have many advantages and I could get behind spending funds to improve rail infrastructure. There is so much opportunity to make things better if the rail infrastructure gets upgraded into the 21st century.
I used to provide services for a company that made railroad "brake shoes" - they made the friction material and applied it to the shoe - the plant was (and I think still is) owned by Wabtec - the plant was in North Carolina - Railroad Friction Products Corporation.
That place was awesome and I have nothing but good thoughts for them and I'm glad, best I can tell they remain operational.
I remember when it was time for EPA to put down some new "MACT-regs" (Maximum Achievable Control Technology), that as a consultant for them, given my previous relations with the EPA, that I really provided them consulting services of great value. See, the thing is, they were already controlling hexane emissions associated with the production process, and the EPA staff concurred that this site represented the MACT-Floor. Cause there ain't many plants that make this product and the beauty of that determination was that no further capital expenses were required to remain in compliance for the sake of minimizing emissions of hexane.
Postmodernist ideology ends with the Millennials you want my humble opinion.
Cause just like the Millennials - at least the ones in the "west" - the ideology has a certain "entitlement to it" that just don't square with reality.
I feel compelled to find a quote from the Sot Weed Factor which I remember reading on my bed in my room alone as a young teenager....ok....

Wonderful Ken - the ancient wisdom is the truth. I am struggling on my laptop now with only 3 weeks before I depart so please forgive if I don't comment much for a while until I settle in CT.
When I was a teenager I read the works of John Barth - Sot Weed Factor and whatnot. Man - that was when postmodernism was a "fresh" idea - now tis just a dead end road.
Yo P&S - rumor I heard weather is SA is a bit disturbed, but end of the day, postmodernist deny reality - they will be eliminated in imagination no doubt.
Very true Tim, thank you for reminding me! There seem to be lots of innovative projects around: EG: I like this one but I am no engineer and can't evaluate it: https://flooidpower.com/
Yes indeed Ken - the Banksters win many battles but it's always the last one that counts and that hasn't happened yet? When the Magic Money Tree wilts many of these A-holes will see their back-passage IMHO. Bring it on!
I remember the classic rhyme about the Sphinx:
"The sexual drive of the camel is greater than anyone thinks,
At the height of the mating season he tries to bugger the Sphinx.

Exactly Greg - I have no faith in EVs only for short local trips. Looking forward to our lunch - we meet at last!

Thanks, but that does not look like it's free energy, per se. And it won't let You build a home in the sky... LOL! Give Me electrogravitics!
Can any one soul have "electrogavitics".....I think even Tesla understood - twill have to be a group effort.

That was a win-win.
Thanks for this article.

A true Win-Win Ken. And "Wall Street is a casino and alternative energy investments are money pits" - no better description of these financial arseholes! But these idiot Millennials go on putting OPM (Other Peoples' Money) into these flops for ever. Chris MacIntosh writes about it all the time and keeps a log of the many failures - https://www.theburningplatform.com/2023/11/10/heres-why-the-renewable-energy-agenda-wont-work-and-what-it-means-for-investors/

happy dreaming, but if the forecast comes from a "uk" entity, I trust it about as much as I could throw John Barth.

Yeah - and "they" stole his patents.....
what a mess for Tesla and now his ideas remain mostly "under wraps".
Very sad.
Elon ought be ashamed.

I remember the classic rhyme about the Sphinx:
"The sexual drive of the camel is greater than anyone thinks,
At the height of the mating season he tries to bugger the Sphinx.
But the Sphinx's back passage is narrow - and
blocked by the sands of the Nile.
Which accounts for the hump on the camel...
And the Sphinx's inscrutable smile!"
Happy days my good friend. :-)
That makes me think about the Suez Canal!
