ALL these NGO organisations are prolific, corrupted, and determine the direction of world politics, instigate wars/conflicts of their choosing, and create chaos all over the world. The World Bank and International Monetary Fund (IMF) are also considered Atlanticist. Under a tacit agreement, the former is led by an American, and the latter by a European. Atlanticism essentially ignores seven billion people on the planet.

It’s a tiny, cosy club of mostly selected (not elected), well-groomed, and well-trained people promoted beyond their competence level, (aka brainwashed), via the Western executive, World Economic Forum (WEF) Young Global Leaders. IT'S A BIG CLUB AND YOU AIN'T IN IT!

The United States will not tolerate others, such as China, muscling in on its potential new markets or swaying people away from its sphere of influence. America doesn’t have ‘friends’ it has only ‘interests’. China is seen as the greatest threat to the profits of (mainly US) global corporations which currently decide pretty much what and how we live, eat, and even when we can eat it. Anyone who expects the Chinese to simply sit back, and take the provocations dealt out by these two-faced actors, is living in cloud-cuckoo land.

China’s 'State Council Information Office', in 2023, issued a report that accused the United States of being the world’s greatest offender of human rights. In “The Report on Human Rights Violations in the United States in 2022,” the Chinese government said the United States, “has sanctions in place against more than 20 countries, including Cuba since 1962, Iran since 1979, Syria since 2011 and Afghanistan in recent years.”

Calling the United States out as the most prolific enforcer of unilateral sanctions in the world, the report said Washington pursues power-politics in the international community, frequently using its military force, the weaponised dollar, and provoking clandestine and proxy wars, and is a saboteur of world peace.

Imagine the global uproar if China or Russia, or any other country for that matter, said it aimed to exercise military control over land, sea, air, and even space to protect its interests, and investments. We have to gaze beyond the Global North for what radical transformation might look like.

It's past time to shift the paradigm and encourage The People of the World to understand that: ‘THE EXERCISE OF POWER DEPENDS ON THE CONSENT OF THE RULED WHO, BY WITHDRAWING THAT CONSENT, CAN CONTROL OR EVEN DESTROY THE POWER OF THEIR OPPONENTS.’

This report goes on to cite multiple examples of British overseas meddling conducted via WFD since its inception, bragging that “along the way we have made many good friends for Britain among key leaders in politics and civil society the world over." In its early years, the Foundation infiltrated developing “democratic institutions”, political parties, and civil society in the former Soviet sphere. Concurrently, WFD was heavily active in South Africa, “in the run-up to its crucial 1994 elections.”

That historic vote, which was the first in which citizens of all races in the country were allowed to take part, saw Nelson Mandela’s African National Congress (ANC) elected in a landslide, and marked the end of apartheid. WFD got its claws into the ANC and the Democratic Alliance (DA), South Africa’s main opposition party, over the campaign, while supporting “independent” media organisations, “and groups promoting women in politics.” Subsequently, the Foundation “shifted its resources and experience” elsewhere in Africa, and the West Balkans.

In the wake of the Trump administration’s “pause” on foreign “aid” spending, countless US-bankrolled de-stabilisation, and regime change efforts, have been thrown into total disarray. Despite desperate calls from beneficiaries for the European Union to fill the gap, its member states have responded by “drastically” slashing their own “overseas development” expenditure. Yet, there is no indication thus far that Britain intends to curtail the operations of the Westminster Foundation for Democracy, London’s little-known international meddling machine. It is an euphemism for the Foundation being a British Intelligence Cutout, formally operating as an 'independent' organisation, free from state control or affiliation, but in reality carrying out politically sensitive, risky activities abroad with which London is wary of being openly and directly associated.

Britain's Secret Overseas Meddling Machine

FOR THREE YEARS WE HAVE HAD A PROXY WAR IN UKRAINE, masterminded on the NATO side by senile warmonger-in-chief Joe Biden. This war included bizarre moments, like direct attacks on German energy infrastructure, and also escalatory brinksmanship, as when Biden authorised long-range missile strikes on Russian territory, and the Russians responded with a not-so-subtle threat of nuclear retaliation.

Throughout all of this madness, the Europeans slept, sparing hardly a single thought for their own defence. Now that Donald Trump hopes to end the war in Ukraine, however, continental political leaders are losing their minds. War is not scary at all, they say. Peace, on the other hand, is an existential threat.

HOT PRESS - JUST IN - "European countries supporting Ukraine in the conflict with Russia are shifting away from the idea of deploying troops to the country, according to a report by the Financial Times. Even British Prime Minister Keir Starmer appears to have stepped back from his pledge to put boots on the ground in Ukraine, saying instead that allied forces would be deployed by sea and air. This week Starmer held a meeting with military planners from 31 countries to discuss how European nations could approach the end of hostilities."

The first way these leaders hope to dispel the disturbing spectre of peace, is via Nazi, Ursula von der Leyen’s “Re-Arm Europe” initiative, which will permit member states to take on billions of debt to fund their re-armament. In this way, the clueless histrionic Brussels juggernaut hopes (in the words of Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk) to “join and win the arms race” with Russia, even if (in the words of the Neue Zürcher Zeitung – h/t the incomparable Roger Köppel) we must “avoid for the moment a confrontation with the New Washington.” Reference:

Becoming a European superpower, with a view towards confronting the hated Americans, is all about spending and time; there's no need for strategy or a plan. These are deeply serious people, and they also speak very seriously, in declarative sentences that mean absolutely nothing. In a publicity statement, Ursula von der Leyen, a Nazi, said that these are “extraordinary times” which are a “watershed moment” for Europe and also a “watershed moment” for Ukraine.”

Such extraordinary watersheds require “special measures,” such as “peace through strength” and “defence through investment.” Top EU diplomats and leading Estonian crazy person, Kaja Kallas for her part noted that “We have initiative on the table” and that she’s “looking forward to seeing Europe show unity and resolve.” Perhaps there will also be money in the 'Re-Arm Europe programme' to outfit Brussels with an arsenal of dictionaries so we do not have to constantly hear these same political weasel words (aka lies).

All the present German and European leadership can imagine is spending money they don't have and they also plan to steal Russia's $300bn deposits too. I fear that Europe will not emerge from the present panic stronger or more secure; it will just end up more geopolitically isolated, poorer, and vastly more bureaucratised than it already is.

THE TERRIFYING MILITARISATION OF EUROPE. Europe is lagging behind other parts of the world, both technologically and economically. Geopolitically, things are not going well either. Europe and the US have failed to turn Russia into a semi-colony after the fall of the Soviet Union in 1991, and to bring about a capitalist regime change in China.

The West had hoped that, by allowing China into the World Trade Organisation (WTO), and investing heavily in the country, capitalist forces would grow so strong that they would eventually take over power from the Communist Party. That was wishful thinking.

By slavishly following the US, Europe failed to construct a balanced security structure after the fall of the Soviet Union in 1991, one that also included Russia. Now, both Russia and China have become such formidable opponents of the Atlantic Alliance, they cannot now be trifled with. Particularly under China’s influence, countries in the Global South are also forming an increasing counterweight to the dominance of the North through BRICS+.

It is within this context that the American elite, led by Trump and Musk, have launched an aggressive campaign to safeguard the absolute supremacy of the US (Make America Great Again - MAGA), even at the expense of its closest allies. This means that a struggle between the US, and other imperialist great powers, has erupted. At the World Economic Forum in Davos, Ursula von der Leyen put it as follows:

The US Threatens Nuclear War or Sanctions. “The ‘cooperation-based world order’, as we envisioned it 25 years ago, has not materialised. Instead, we have entered a new era of fierce geopolitical competition. The world’s largest economies are competing for access to raw materials, new technologies, and global trade routes. From artificial intelligence to clean technology, from quantum computers to space, from the Arctic to the South China Sea—the race has begun.”

The driving force behind this race is the pursuit of maximum profit and the expansion of Western monopoly capital. That's ultimately what it's all about - Money! To engage in this race, the military card is being played. Or, as former German Chancellor Gerhard Schröder put it: “A country only truly counts on the international stage if it is also willing to go to war.”

The main excuse for the current war fever, that Russia poses a military threat, is baseless. Moscow is not seeking expansion and never has. According to top experts like Jeffrey Sachs and John Mearsheimer, the invasion of Ukraine was Moscow’s response to NATO’s eastward expansion and the militarisation of Ukraine. Moscow saw this as an existential threat.

In terms of conventional warfare, Russia is unable to defeat Europe. The Kremlin has already become bogged down in the much weaker Ukraine. And if a confrontation between Europe and Russia were to occur, it would be a nuclear scenario which is an endgame that nobody wants. THE WAR ECONOMY. The current military tensions are not so much the result of geopolitical conflicts with Russia, China, and now the US, but rather rooted in the Western monopoly capital’s drive for maximum profit, exploitation of lesser states, and global expansion (aka colonialism) because it's all they have known over centuries of exploiting the planet. The West has ridden high on the hog for too long without paying the full price of external costs. Now the the time has come to pay the piper. Karma is a Bitch!

France’s government has issued an emergency directive, ordering citizens to hoard food and brace for WW3 by year’s end, as outlined in a stark 20-page survival guide packed with tips for facing terror attacks, pandemics, cyber threats, and even nuclear fallout. Infowars.com reports: “The survival manual aims to encourage citizens to develop their resilience in the face of different crises,” a spokesperson for French Prime Minister François Bayrou told CNN. It is likely that the push to ‘radicalise‘ French citizens as preppers has to do with French President Macron’s recent nuclear weapon 'fetishisation' speech.

In order to secure the profits of Western monopolies, investments, foreign markets, and cheap raw materials must be guaranteed. So for that, a strong military presence is indispensable to bring defiant countries into the fold using conventional military force and subtle economic leverage. But now, how will NATO respond to the threat of nuclear weapons?

Militarisation also boosts the economy. A war economy does not depend on the purchasing power of the population but on the choices of political leaders. Military purchases can (temporarily) provide some breathing space for some sectors of the economy, although it comes at the expense of other sectors. This is what Reagan attempted to do in the 1980s with his Star Wars program and what Hitler did in the 1930s.

In Belgium, and likely elsewhere, militarisation may be accompanied by an unprecedented wave of privatisation. Part of the money for military expenditures could be obtained by selling off national property or parts of it; militarisation is a lever for privatisation and a war economy also serves for genuine war preparation.

During the Cold War, European countries maintained large standing armies. After the fall of the Soviet Union in 1991 - (The Peace Dividend), mobile intervention forces were deployed for rapid interventions, as seen in Libya and Syria. Now, there are plans for the re-introduction of conscription, the expansion of military infrastructure, and prolonged stationing abroad, such as in the Baltic States and Ukraine. Other options are also being considered, including discussions about a nuclear umbrella. Many signs indicate that WW3 is becoming a real possibility in the view of financial and economic elites.

But, There Are Always Consequences. Such militarisation has far-reaching consequences for society in general. The money has to come from somewhere. Currently, Europe spends about 2% of GDP on defense. If it wants to reach the 5% benchmark, set by Trump, it will have to spend approximately €500bn more each year.

With right-wing governments, a sharp increase in defense budgets will inevitably come at the expense of both social spending, and the Green Deal, which has an annual budget of €86bn. Militarisation will likely be accompanied by an unprecedented wave of privatisation in the economy as interested actors take advantage of the allocated budgets.

The establishment of a genuine European army also brings a significant democratic deficit. The command structure must be at the European level. Soon, neither national governments nor parliaments, but eurocrats, will be the ones to decide whether Millennials and Gen Z will be sent to the front lines, if they so choose, which is doubtful. Finally, the militarisation of economies and societies will further escalate tensions on the European continent. Instead of building a balanced security structure, they are launching a dangerous arms race and stoking hostility toward the Russians.

THE WESTERN WORLD IS AT A CROSSROADS.

Europe faces an historic choice. The process of militarisation comes with enormous economic costs, social deterioration, delays in the green transition, and a democratic deficit, while the risk of a larger conflict becomes increasingly likely. Is militarisation truly in the interest of European citizens, or is it merely in the interest of economic elites and the arms industry? Will we be swept up in war fever, or will we choose prosperity, sustainability, and a balanced security structure on the continent as offered by the Global South?

Will Europeans follow the US in its imperialist and militaristic logic, or can an independent European project be established on respectful cooperation with countries in the Global South? The coming years will be crucial in answering this key question. THE GEOSTRATEGIC INTERESTS OF US & EU ARE DISINTEGRATING as Washington Mulls Withdrawal from Europe. No EU nuclear defense could exist without the US. For the moment there is no serious talk of the US withdrawing from Europe, Rather, Washington has wanted to subjugate the EU ever since WW2. Now they are talking about some 5% GDP, which is too much even for the most powerful countries in the world, let alone some European NATO members; as most EU countries are too poor to allocate this significant amount. And Britain, the paper tiger, remains as pugnacious as ever:

"As for the spin on the Brits “helping” the Americans and the Ukrainians to concoct the ceasefire gambit, that does not even qualify as a Monty Python sketch. The Brit ruling classes, MI6, their media, and think tanks simply abhor any negotiations. They are in direct, frontal war with Russia, and their plan A (with no plan B) remains the same: inflict a “strategic defeat” on Moscow, as the SVR knows only too well.

Many analysts see today’s rapprochement between the US and Russia as an attempt by the Americans to separate Moscow from Beijing. This isn't realistic since Russia is tied to China, ironically because the West attempted to isolate the Eurasian countries (The Heartland) since 2022. The heart of the matter is the Black Sea. Vladimir Karasev’s analysis, as explained to TASS, is spot on: “The British have already [surreptitiously]entered the city of Odessa, which they view as a key location. Their special services are heavily involved there. The British do not conceal their desire to establish a naval base in Odessa.”

Odessa is part of the extensive menu of Ukraine’s resources already, in thesis, handed over to the Brits under the shady and illegal, 100-year agreement signed between Starmer and Zelensky. According to this dodgy deal, and its made-in-the-shade footnotes, Zelensky has already given the Brits all sorts of control over minerals, nuclear power plants, underground gas storage facilities, key ports (including Odessa), and hydroelectric power plants. The Brit's ongoing minerals/Rare Earth saga is in vicious, direct competition with America and the CIA knows; this could turn ugly in short order.

In response to the summit, the head of the United States Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), Elon Musk, supported the idea of ​​the US withdrawing from the United Nations and NATO. Trump is unlikely to follow Musk’s suggestion, but the intentions of the owner of Tesla could be to scare the Europeans into realising that their defence is precarious and reliance on the US, thus they must follow Washington’s line on ending the war in Ukraine. However, Europe remains in a state of inertia with the false belief that it's relevant on the global chessboard. Source

RT REPORTED: VANCE WARNED THAT A RELUCTANCE OR INABILITY TO CONTROL BORDERS, combined with efforts to restrict free speech when citizens protest issues like illegal immigration, could have serious consequences,“They are unable or unwilling, [with] too many countries to control their borders… You see them starting to limit the free speech of their own citizens even as those citizens are protesting against things like the border invasion that got [US President] Donald Trump and a number of European leaders elected,” the Vice President explained, expressing hope that European countries will begin to address these issues.

Responding to criticism that his stance could strain relations between the US and its European partners, Vance argued that honest discussions between allies are essential. “If you have a country like Germany, where you have another few million immigrants come in from countries that are totally culturally incompatible with Germany, then it doesn’t matter what I think about Europe,” he stated. Vance added that unchecked immigration in the EU could have repercussions for the US, as some individuals might eventually seek entry into America.

“I want Europe to thrive. I want them to be an important ally. Part of that is going to be Europe respecting its own people, respecting its own sovereignty, and America can’t do that job for them,” he said.

In February, Vance delivered a fiery speech at the Munich Security Conference, criticising European leaders for fearing their own voters, and failing to uphold democratic values, while censoring opposing voices under the pretext of combating “disinformation. “The threat that I worry the most about vis-à-vis Europe is not Russia, it’s not China, it’s not any other external actor… what I worry about is the threat from within,” Vance said in a speech that Trump later described as “very brilliant.”

BRITAIN AND EU ARE NOW AT WAR WITH RUSSIA

Zelensky has previously said European partners would need to station 100,000 to 150,000 soldiers in Ukraine to effectively deter Russia. The US has ruled out sending its own troops so that means Europe will have to go it alone. Britain and France are considering deploying a much smaller European-led 'peacekeeping' force with up to 30,000 soldiers, the Telegraph reported.

WW3 - WILL 'MILLENIALS' AND 'GEN Z' STEP UP AND GIVE THEIR LIVES TO DEFEND BRITAIN’S WORTHLESS FAILED STATE?

Keir Starmer’s Call to Arms: Why should we trust a government that has totally failed us at home? We find ourselves in a Britain that's barely recognisable from just a few years ago. The British taxpayer is already buckling under a punishing tax burden, hitting one of the highest levels in decades, according to the Office for Budget Responsibility (OBR). I know families who are in the process of leaving Britain, as I did long ago. We’re taxed when we earn, spend, save, when we’re pensioned, when we inherit, to prop up a bloated, out-of-control welfare state. We're grappling with a cost of living crisis that shows no signs of abating.

HMG can find funds for a foreign wars, but not for Winter Fuel Payments for pensioners. Millions of elderly people will have struggled to stay warm and well this winter, abandoned by a hypocritical government which prioritises grand gestures over the elderly. We’re squeezed dry to fund a state that seems more interested in waving every flag but our own, like 'Pride', 'Ukraine', and 'Palestine', while the Union Flag and St. George’s Cross are sneered at as symbols of racism.

In March 2024, Labour MPs were unhappy about the prominent use of the Union Flag on election leaflets, warning Starmer it could alienate ethnic minority voters, because it was associated with the ‘far right’. Now Starmer wants to rally behind a flag his party treats as a liability? Good luck with that.

WHO WILL FIGHT FOR BRITAIN? NOT GEN Z, THAT'S FOR SURE

HERE IS ,A GEN Z WITNESS ACCOUNT: Young people from Generation-Z, the so-called ‘Zoomers’ who were born between 1997 and 2012, are unwilling to fight for Britain. That’s the bombshell finding from a recent poll by The Times, which paints a picture of a young generation that is deeply disillusioned with the state of modern Britain.

The trend over time is deeply alarming. While 80% of young people in the early 2000s said they were ‘proud of Britain’, only 41% of Zoomers today feel the same way; and while nearly 80% of young people in the 2000s said they were willing to fight for Britain, that figure has now collapsed to just 48%.

Today, only 11% of Zoomers say unequivocally they would fight for Britain. This has already sparked considerable shock and debate amongst older members of the liberal elite class and the Baby Boomer generation, many of whom are now rushing to support Keir Starmer’s call to continue the war in Ukraine and, potentially, even put British troops on the ground as part of a ‘Coalition of the Willing’.

But, Gen Z asks those older Boomers: "Why are you surprised that so few Zoomers are willing to fight for Britain?" Because here is the reality, that very few if any Boomers in Westminster, Paris, Berlin, and Brussels appear to acknowledge that which is the truth, because: THE SOCIAL CONTRACT HAS FAILED:

Furthermore, these hate marches were allowed a free pass by police and state authorities, whilst counter-protests by white working-class young men routinely felt the full force of the law. Is this the Social Contract that Gen Z are asked to defend? Liberal Baby Boomers comfort themselves by proclaiming that the real reason why Zoomers don’t want to fight for Britain is because Zoomers are more ‘liberal’ and ‘progressive’ than past generations, but it's not really the case.

Whilst it might be true that Zoomer women are drifting leftwards, an entire generation of right-leaning, or apolitical young men, who today look at liberal Boomers, the elite ruling class, and the prevailing anti-British, anti-Western, and anti-majority culture they have created, with a growing sense of disgust and disdain.

Young, Englishmen look around and see a liberal establishment in London. and across the West, that has not only pushed an endless series of foreign policy disasters, while instructing the polulace to ‘trust the expert class’, but has also deliberately and consistently weakened the nation by opening the doors to mass uncontrolled immigration by losing control of national borders. No wonder these enlightened Gen Z, like my graddaughter in Dubai, are leaving this dismal island for fun and profit in the sun!

During the very same week that Labour PM, Keir Starmer talked about putting British troops on the ground to protect the integrity of Ukraine’s borders, the total violation of borders in Britain is underlined by the news that more than 154,000 mainly young men, from Islamic nations, have entered Britain illegally on small boats since 2018.

What is being witnessed is one of the greatest failures of the British state in history, a state that cannot stop an invasion of its own territory, a state that cannot control its own borders, and yet a state that cannot keep its own people safe. They have no idea who these illegal migrants are, where they have come from, or what they want, and yet Keir Starmer, Yvette Cooper, and the Labour government in general appear to be more concerned about every border in the world, from Ukraine to Gaza, except their own.

And now these leaders want young Zoomer men to be willing to fight, and potentially die, to defend the territorial integrity of Ukraine while they cannot even be bothered to protect the territorial integrity of their own country. Do they think we’ve not noticed the blatant hypocrisy? Are they being serious right now?

These hapless politicians also say Gen Z should prepare to fight a totalitarian ideology in Russia whilst consistently refusing to counter the creeping spread of a totalitarian ideology in Britain. They tell us we should be ready to fight to protect the women and children of Ukraine whilst visibly failing to protect hundreds of thousands of women and girls in Britain from the Pakistani Muslim gangs, even refusing, astonishingly, to give those girls the justice they deserve by holding a government inquiry.

They also tell Gen Z to be wary of Russian “misinformation” and “disinformation” at every election or referendum in the West that happens to counter their 'correct' way. But at the same time, they are actively and willingly clamping down on free speech in Britain, presiding over a proliferation of ‘non-crime hate incidents’, ‘hate laws’, speech codes, censorship, and vague definitions of ‘Islamophobia’ that are designed to control the public square and suppress alternative views, all of which would look completely at home in Stalin's CCCP.

WHY SHOULD THE AVERAGE BRIT CONSIDER FIGHTING TO “DEFEND FREEDOM” IN UKRAINE when their own leaders can't even bring themselves to defend free speech and liberty right here in Britain?

Presumably, the British elite ruling class and HMG want lots of young, white, English, working-class men to fight and die for Britain in foreign lands, Then potentially ship to Ukraine, or some other faraway land, in the name of 'defending freedom'. So why does Keir Starmer, and many of the insular elite class in Britain, insist on deriding and dismissing white young men as ‘far right’ at every available opportunity? The Establishment Blob failed to protect its own people after the Southport and rape gang atrocities. Is this visible hostility, if not hatred of young working-class white men, supposed to inspire them to fight for a failing nation?

And why should fighting for a society which, as we discovered this week, is imposing a two-tier justice system on its own people, which very clearly treats young, white, straight, male Zoomers differently from racial, ethnic, sexual, and religious minorities? As Matt Goodwin pointed out on X, six months ago, Keir Starmer and Angela Rayner dismissed anybody who talked about ‘two-tier justice’ as “far right conspiracy theorists”.

Then, two months ago, it was revealed that the Home Office considered any discussion about ‘two-tier justice’ to be a “far-right extremist narrative”. Now this week the Sentencing Council issued guidelines based on the work by Labour Minister, David Lammy that would essentially make prison sentences less likely for racial, ethnic, sexual, and religious minorities and presumably more likely for white, straight, Christian men.

Is this two-tier society, a society that is rigged against people from the white British majority, which they are asking a Brit to defend? Are visibly anti-white racist policies like this supposed to inspire young men to fight for Britain? Why would they ever want to fight for a country that appears to hate what the majority represents?

Nobody in the Labour Party, the Tory party, or the elite class for that matter appear to understand how and why they have raised a generation of young people who are so bitterly disillusioned, and much less willing than the young men of yesteryear to fight. As Vice President JD Vance recently told a room of sobbing elites in Munich; much of the elite class in Europe, including Britain, has completely lost sight of what it should be defending. In the words of the late Palestinian writer and poet Refaat Alareer, who was killed by an Israeli airstrike on December 6, 2023, “what usually happens in occupied Palestine is that Palestinians cease, and Israel fires”. That’s precisely what happened last weekend, with the Israeli government resuming its genocidal bombing campaign in Gaza and killing over 400 Palestinians. An Australian medic described the scenes at the Baptist hospital in Gaza city, saying “it was just mostly women and children burned head to toe, limbs missing, heads missing”.

The reasons for Israel’s return to war are largely political. Benjamin Netanyahu’s coalition would be vulnerable to collapse should the war be terminated, while the “security crisis” allowed the Israeli PM to avoid appearing in court over corruption charges. In Britain, David Lammy had a rare moment of clarity in parliament this week when he finally acknowledged that Israel’s siege of Gaza was “in breach of international law”. Food, water, power, and other essential items have been blocked from entering Gaza for over two weeks; these are war crimes for which Netanyahu is already wanted by the ICC.

Downing Street was quick to rebuke Lammy. Keir Starmer’s spokesperson announced that Israel’s actions were only “at clear risk” of breaching international law, protecting the Israeli government from criticism even as it massacred hundreds of Palestinians. The escalation in Gaza also coincided with a renewed US-UK military assault on Yemen. As Declassified revealed, the RAF provided aerial refuelling to US jets during the airstrikes last weekend, which were launched in retaliation for the Houthis’ blockade of Israel. In a broader sense, however, the attack on Yemen is about Iran.

US national security advisor Mike Waltz told ABC on Sunday: “This was an overwhelming response that actually targeted multiple Houthi leaders and took them out. And the difference here is, one, going after the Houthi leadership, and two, holding Iran responsible”. Donald Trump went even further, declaring: “Every shot by the Houthis will be looked upon… as being a shot fired from the weapons and leadership of IRAN, and IRAN will be responsible, and suffer the consequences, and those consequences will be dire!”. The airstrikes on Yemen were not the only indicator of an escalation with Iran. RAF Typhoons based in the Middle East escorted US Air Force B-52 bombers, which are nuclear capable, and dropped live munitions at ranges in “several partner nations” including Iran’s neighbour, Iraq.

The military exercises were largely ignored in Britain, but the message wasn’t lost on Iran. Iranian state media declared unambiguously: “The US and its partner countries who cooperated in these two missions obviously had something to say and whose intended message was meant for was as clear as day: The Islamic Republic of Iran”.

With an emboldened Trump in office and Starmer clinging onto the disintegrating ‘special relationship’, it seems possible that Israel could finally get what it has long wanted: Western support for a massive escalation with Iran. What happened last weekend, was the Israeli government resuming its genocidal bombing campaign in Gaza and killing over 400 Palestinians.
