KING CHARLES III – [Extended Edition] – Hancock at WEF - Liz's Workers MIA? – Energy Price Cap – Ukraine Blame? – Voodoo Economics – Food Prices – Bankster Bonus - Letter from Great Britain [09-17-22]
"If I don't know - I can't act" - Nothing is more important than this week
God Save Our New King Charles III - born in Buckingham Palace, is the first child of then Princess Elizabeth, Duchess of Edinburgh, and Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, and the first grandchild of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth - the Queen Mother. Sorry Your Majesty this is the only copy I could find for now:
Our Grand Queen, bless her soul, is "lying-in-state" whilst "the state-is-lying to us, her subjects"; how does that work?
LAST WEEK I noted that: "The rich get richer and the poor get stuffed" which was my interpretation of the famed bible passage; Matthew 25:29: “For to everyone who has, more will be given, and he will have abundance; but from him who does not have, even what he has will be taken away.” The loose transition popularised today is "The rich get richer and the poor get poorer”. And this is no less valid for Britain where the wealth disparity between rich and poor is now at its greatest in the whole of history.
FOR ME, The Bible contains the wisdom of millennia and offers a Truth that cannot be denied, nay the Word of God. As the dark days of winter descend upon the British public perhaps a daily reading of the Good Book will offer us solace, peace and inner contentment against the furies of this government-generated fear vested upon us by our cavalier despotic rulers – openly admitted: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/human-augmentation-the-dawn-of-a-new-paradigm Note Matt Hancock at the WEF on the right-hand side of this document; read it (between the lines!). Then they try to tell me that I'm promoting conspiracies'? This is an official document!
THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK: In between all the brouhaha over the last few weeks, I continue to chase those elusive missing workers. The Daily Mail had the low-down on 'Liz-the-Biz ': "Only a third of the bureaucrats in Truss' own Foreign Office are turning up for work" – the worst record of any Government department, and she's had enough – haven't we all? She said: "We need more people to work in the office. I think that's very important." It is important Liz, but for whom? https://www.dailymail.co.uk/debate/article-11152711/STEVE-HILTON-hippy-dippy-mumbo-jumbo-pampered-whingeing-millennials.html I'll leave the last word to The Daily Mail on Apple as representative of our new woke-work-culture:
"The real 'privilege', of course, belongs to the whining Apple employees themselves, who have become the most visible symbol of an ugly phenomenon: a new generation of entitled, coddled and cosseted workers who think their sanctimonious world view is more important than doing the job they're paid for; (very highly paid, in many cases.)
Their total lack of self-awareness is staggering. The fact that being asked to come into the office three days a week is considered a beyond-the pale draconian imposition shows how out of touch they are from a work ethic that until recently was central to human existence, and which is still the reality for most people who do not have the luxury of just saying 'no' when their boss asks them to show up.
This is the consequence of an elitist culture – in our education system, in families and elsewhere – that for too long have told young people they can do no wrong, abandoning the discipline and structure essential to producing well-rounded, responsible citizens. Instead, we have spoiled-brat social-justice warriors taking over some of the most influential companies on the planet. Worse still, instead of standing up to this kind of nonsense, too many business leaders go along with it in the hope of a quiet life. That's why we've seen such an explosion of woke activism from so many major companies in the past few years."
BREAKING NEWS: I can only stand in awe as I witness the strength of our constitutional monarchy established in the traditions of centuries established in 1688. It is in times like this that show the world how strong our British democracy actually is, but will it survive the accession of King Charles III?
BUT I leave it to Nigel Farage (a true patriot and 'Bringer of Brexit') on GB News with Megyn Kelly to tell the story of the black sheep in the royal fold who is attempting to destroy his very inheritance:
At a time of political and constitutional uncertainty, Elizabeth’s choice to name her son Charles is significant in understanding the monarchy’s vision for the future of the United Kingdom.
Here is a short history describing the tumultuous period of our two former King Charles’: https://theconversation.com/charles-iii-the-difficult-legacy-and-political-significance-of-the-new-kings-name

MOVING ON: THE ENERGY PRICE CAP, announced last week, allows households to now budget their energy usage costs. PM, Liz Truss recently announced an energy price guarantee that will set the average energy bill at £2,500pa over the next two years. This means the average household will save around £1,000, and by factoring in the £400 energy bill support, (being £66 deducted from your bill each month for 6 months to 31st March 2023); thus those with typical energy use will pay no more than now (£1,971 a year vs £2,100).
For the 24 million households on standard variable tariffs, the average unit price for dual fuel customers paying by direct debit will be set to 34p/kWh for electricity and 10.3p/kWh for gas (including VAT), from 1 October 2022. The government further confirmed average standing charges of 46p/day and 28p/day for gas. Here is a handy guide to help prepare your energy budget: https://www.yourmoney.com/household-bills/energy-price-guarantee-rates-your-seven-key-questions-answered/
However, the energy price cap is a limit on the unit rate and standing charge that energy suppliers can charge, so it’s important to understand it is not a limit on bills. This is because the figure is calculated using average energy use in the typical home.
Justina Miltienyte, head of policy at comparison site Uswitch, said: “It’s important to remember that bills are not frozen. This is a cap on the unit rate of the energy you use – it is not a cap on your final bill. The less energy you use, the less you will pay, so you may still be able to save money by managing your energy usage this winter.”
Nevertheless, there will remain millions of people facing a personal crisis. Citizens Advice report that two people a minute are turning to the charity for crisis support, through foodbank vouchers or charitable donations. Remember we are just ending the warm summer season when particularly pre-payment meter payers are paying for minimum energy usage. As the winter draws on and energy bills increase, vulnerable people and especially those on fixed incomes, such as our 12 million pensioners, will face increasing financial distress as the season intensifies into the depths of a freezing winter.
Important advice: “If you do not have a smart meter, it is worth submitting your meter readings on or just before 30 September. This will ensure your bills are accurate, and that all your energy use from recent months is calculated under the old rates rather than under the new October charges. Regularly submitting meter readings to your supplier will help ensure your bills are accurate." https://www.yourmoney.com/household-bills/should-i-submit-a-meter-reading-before-1-october-2022/
However, if you were born on or before 25 September 1956 you could get between £250 and £600, payable in November/December, towards to your heating bills. This is known as the ‘Winter Fuel Payment’. The amount you will get includes a ‘Pensioner Cost of Living Payment’. This is between £150 and £300. You’ll only get this extra amount in winter 2022 to 2023. This is in addition to any cost of living payment you get with your benefit or tax credits: https://www.gov.uk/winter-fuel-payment
TIMING OF THE 'MINI BUDGET': At present we are understandably distracted by our gracious Queen's demise and the 10 day mourning period; but HMG have confirmed a plan for a ‘mini budget’ during September. However the government yesterday stated that the 'mini budget', or so-called ‘fiscal event' has no set date but confirmed that it will not be held whilst Parliament is in recess.
General Parliamentary business has been postponed until after September 21, but parliament is due to rise for recess on September 22 with the house returning on October 17. An HMG spokesman stated: “What we’ve said is that we are still planning to deliver a fiscal event this month. We wouldn’t do that in recess. Beyond that, we haven’t set out a date.” He added that recess dates would have to be discussed with the Speaker but there was no current plan to change them.
So where does this leave us? As usual, with this 'twelve-year old' Tory government actually acting out its prepubescent age, we have various 'spokesmen' talking with forked tongue and spreading confusion. Maybe they do it deliberately, as a means to control the masses (treat them like mushrooms – keeping them in the dark and feeding them horse manure) and thus to minimise the potential for riots (shades of Poll Tax?) or is it just a SNAFU, as the military would have it?
All I know thus far is that our individual spiritual energy will be called upon to strengthen in these days of anticipatory waiting, not knowing how long it will take before the pomp and circumstance of our ruling class play out their ancient ceremonies, then finally the warming glow of enlightenment bathes Joe Public with its healing rays…or not. liz-truss-under-pressure-to-reveal-details-of-energy-crisis-plan
MANY CORRESPONDENTS are placing BLAME at foot of ‘Vlad the Impaler' but the truth is far from such a simplistic excuse. So long as US/NATO perpetuates this struggle, failing to even acknowledge the many peace appeals by Putin, this obscene kinetic experiment will roll on almost indefinitely reflecting other wars around the world.
There's been talk this week of the recent Ukraine offensive or counter attack in Kherson combined with the rapid counter-offensive in Kharkov offering this weary nation a minuscule hope of a route to end this hopeless Mexican Standoff; engineered entirely by the Great Satan's despotic leaders who continue to funnel their offensive weaponry of war merely to perpetrate the agony of the innocents.
The current counter-offensive will not end the war. The campaign in northeast Ukraine will eventually culminate, allowing the Russians to re-establish a tenable defensive line and possibly even conduct localised counterattacks.
Ukraine will have to launch subsequent counter-offensive operations, likely several, to finish the unlikely liberation of Russian-occupied territory. The war inevitably will stretch into 2023 and beyond. Sorry folks, until our pugnacious, megalomaniacal leaders see sense (if this is even possible) and negotiate a lasting peace – every innocent will suffer the consequences in the coming winter. Here's looking at you, UK, EU & BIDEN and your utterly corrupt regimes, even to the point of decimating your own populace.
THUS THE QUESTION REMAINS: Are the banksters and their sycophantic economist pundits our modern day witch doctors pedalling Voodoo Economics to explain the mad gyrations of a corrupt and failing global financial system conceived in the dark caverns of a dystopian banksters' cabal? Charles Hugh Smith is worth a short read: http://charleshughsmith.blogspot.com/2022/08/the-fed-cant-stop-supply-side-inflation.html
Let's look at the evidence: "New York Times columnist and Nobel Laureate [in economics would you believe!] Paul Krugman has been teaching economics for decades, during which time a recession was defined in all the textbooks — most certainly including the ones that he used in his classes — as two consecutive quarters of negative GDP “growth.
This is the same Paul Krugman who once predicted that the internet would have no more impact on the economy than fax machines; that declaring an impeding invasion from Mars would, in theory, cause an explosion in defence spending that would be good for the economy; and who wrote in a 2002 Times column, in the wake of the 2001 Nasdaq crash, that Federal Reserve Board Chairman “Alan Greenspan needs to create a housing bubble to replace the Nasdaq bubble.” Fellow economic witch doctor Greenspan did, and the bursting of that Fed-created bubble caused the “Great Recession” of 2008 and the subsequent explosion of even more government intervention, corporate welfare bailouts, and money creation, quaintly renamed “quantitative easing.”
Then there’s former Treasury Secretary Larry Summers who informed a CNN audience on June 12 that the cause of the current high inflation rate is not too much legalized counterfeiting by the Fed but the January 6, 2021 protests at the U.S. Capitol. Criticism and distrust of government, according to Summers, causes inflation. But if so, one would have expected the relentless, often hysterical, vitriolic denunciations of the Trump government by the unhinged Left, including Summers, to have caused hyperinflation. Like all witch doctors, Krugman and Summers and their ilk jump around, shout, wave their arms, and blow a lot of smoke. Voodoo economics was seemingly everywhere after the 2008 housing market crash. https://www.lewrockwell.com/2022/08/thomas-dilorenzo/economic-witch-doctors/
SO WHAT can we expect from these charlatans going forward? Is the Food Crisis Over or Just Getting Started? Chris Macintosh has some useful pointers (via International Man) as more and more people awake from their trance. Once woken, they realise the incredible danger in which we find ourselves.
And this is a good thing because you can’t fight an enemy until you understand one exists. The WEF Great Reset requires a populace beholden and deferring to their governments and nobody else. As the central planners pursue their agenda it is bound to be accompanied by an awakening and a lot of angst, possibly even a repeat of France in 1789 when the elites didn't get off so lightly.
Whilst Joe Public is generally unaware of the UN Agenda 2030 they don’t actually need to be. What Joe does care about is when he can’t afford groceries and when his electricity bill now suddenly wipes out his entire annual disposable income. And this is enough to provide both pushback and an increasing ability to awaken to the horrors of what is coming down the track if this Marxist/communist agenda masquerading as a plan to "save us from climate change" is NOT stopped in its tracks.
With these realisations come the politicians, like Liz Truss, many of whom are ignorant parasites riding on the back of false promises but doing what comes naturally? They sense a shift in the political wind and rush to get in front of it, champion it, and gain support.
For example, according to France24, Giuseppe Conte, the head of Five Star in Italy, said: "I have a strong fear that September will be a time when many families will face the terrible choice of paying their electricity bills or buying food. We are absolutely willing to dialogue, to make our constructive contribution to the government, to Draghi, (but) we are not willing to write a blank cheque." Britain's Liz Truss has said similar things recently forswearing 'hand outs'
Conte is not wrong of course but here is a thug who was a massive contributor to the problems our proverbial "Joe" now faces and as I've continuously been saying. Energy underpins EVERYTHING. This is why Eurozone CPI looks like it just mainlined on Viagra.
And this is saying something because as you know the way they measure CPI is, of course, complete hogwash and roughly half the real rate. Check out John Williams ShadowStats where inflation in America is calculated based on a methodology used in the 1980’s (pre-fraud) where it has just topped 17.3%! That’s a tad more than the 9.1% print with which they just tried to trick you and me. The same applies in Britain but we don't have a hero like John and rely on the ONS with their wonky numbers. However the Brits don't need statisticians to tells us how drastic our cost of living has become in such a short time.
The other thing "Joe" cares about is when the government — under the guise of "saving the planet" — begins the process of stealing up to 50% of the farms like in the Netherlands under a ridiculous narrative of "reducing nitrogen omissions". The Dutch government are proceeding with a blatant land grab of 30% of their farmland. It is worth mentioning that air is 78% nitrogen but these morons have decided that air is literally dangerous.
Nevertheless the farmers are having none of it and have blockaded roads, airports, and distribution centres. The fishermen have joined in too and blocked the ports. Domestically the Dutch farmers have massive support. Gratefully, people seem to intuitively understand that without them there will be no food. The propaganda is no longer having the desired effect on the populace… we are waking up.
Every day a few more people wake to reality, and once you awake, you can’t ignore what you’ve seen. The existing political Parties’ credibility is severely damaged – trust has been lost – bloated governments are now the enemy of their people. I’ve thought for some years now that if there is to be a shift, it will likely come from third parties. This is true across the Western world, and is not uniquely a Dutch thing. Their Farmer–Citizen Movement in the Netherlands is now gaining momentum.
Over in France, their peculiar Gallic agenda gathers momentum. Macron has planned full nationalisation of their leading power utility EDF. Prime Minister Elisabeth Borne confirmed on Wednesday, in a move that would give the government more control over restructuring the debt-laden group whilst contending with a European energy crisis.
The last head of a European government to be killed and eaten by a mob was Dutch Johan de Witt in 1672, who was mutilated, hung, and had his liver roasted and digested by the Orangist in The Hague. Davos Man maybe risking at least as much. In the meantime, Europeans are going to be cold and hungry. Winter is just a few short months away.
INFLATION WATCH: Food prices are exploding in Britain and as usual, the poor are the worst hit because a large proportion of their budget is spent on food and household necessities. Last month’s 12.4% grocery inflation figure will take average annual bills from £4,610 to £5,181, “if shoppers don’t make changes to what they buy and how they shop to cut costs,” Fraser McKevitt, head of retail and consumer insight at Kantar said.
He noted that categories including milk, butter and dog food are “jumping up especially quickly” at 31%, 25% and 29% respectively. Over the 12-week period to September 4, Kantar revealed grocery inflation stood at 11%, based on the price of 75,000 products: https://www.yourmoney.com/household-bills/record-grocery-price-inflation-adds-600-to-annual-bills/ BUT an official report states inflation last month was 9.9% and this is the key date upon which the state pension increase next April is based.
COLLAPSE MONITOR: Banker pay is back in the spotlight after reports that Chancellor Kwasi Kwarteng is considering lifting a bonus cap as part of the government’s wide-ranging post-Brexit reforms. The cap was part of the EU’s reaction to the 2008 GFC, and means that year-end bonuses are currently limited to twice their annual salary.
But those EU rules are now likely to be repealed eight years after their introduction. The Financial Times, which first reported the news, said the controversial move was part of the government’s plans to boost the City’s global competitiveness and make the UK a more attractive place for banks to do business.
The government is also planning to controversially reintroduce “competitiveness” as a secondary objective for UK regulators through the Financial Services and Markets Bill, which is going to the committee stage. Economists and ex-politicians have warned it is an inappropriate return to 2019 before the present global crisis. Critics are likely to make the same argument about lifting the bonus cap.
This is the government’s declared strategy to put economic 'growth' at the centre of all decision making, and generally lure more business, stock market listings and start-ups to London. But as usual our clueless politicians remain unaware that economic growth has been neutral to negative since the Dot.com crash in 2000. Lifting the cap will be widely controversial, to put it mildly, at a time when households are struggling to 'Heat & Eat' in probably the worst cost of living crisis ever.
BUT this is OK for our hubristic ruling elite who have no concern about the suffering of Joe Public as long as the Banksters are OK. What they miss is that these robber barons have stripped the serfs of all their limited wealth and possessions to the point that the Brits now have nothing whatsoever to lose. And history tells us that when this occurs nasty things happen, often involving heads rolling. Will King Charles III reign be bloody, short and brutish? Look Out Below!!
THE NARRATIVE BATTLE: Big business has been taking on a partisan role in our most contentious debates, lecturing us on everything from 'climate change' and mandatory Covid jabs to inequality and of course, racism; whilst very often doing the bare minimum, if anything, to advance those goals in their own organisations.
All this corporate preaching and finger-wagging, consistently aligned with the latest establishment groupthink, may satisfy the insatiable desire for virtue signalling found among a tiny voluble proportion of the population obsessed with extreme Leftist politics and activist causes, especially ESG – ZeroHedge had a quick note on this scam.
But for most people, be they consumers, workers or citizens, it's more and more tiresome, tedious and unappealing. The meretricious common chorus goes something like: "Can't they just bloody well let us do the shopping without shoving all this crap woke politics down our throats morning, noon and night?" https://www.zerohedge.com/political/texas-issues-list-energy-boycotting-firms-banned-working-state

Great commentary regarding inflation. We in the US are momentarily taking note of oil price declines with some projecting further declines just prior to the election. Not clear if that is possible with the Sauds reducing production. The EU has handicapped itself with Russia, but long term likely a wise move to diversify supply. As you note energy underlies the economy worldwide and because of a group of fools who buy into the climate change nonsense, investment has stalled. If anything, investment in alternatives, particularly nuclear is way overdue. Without subsidy only solar homes stands a chance of a useful trend, but the Chinese controls need to be reworked globally. So very odd that factories in the third world have not arrived to improve their circumstances but offer an alternative to China.
But the truth is that without innovation coming out of western cultures, trying to reduce dependence of fossil fuels is limited. Where are those flow batteries to eliminate the waste of Li-ion on utility scale storage? Utility scale solar might work in the US, but the denser EU/UK might never become practical.
At any rate we all are going to see a rough winter as the world marches into recession. I suspect a growing number of people will be hurt and upset. Hopefully they will direct their anger at our leaders who uniformly seem incompetent.
.....and I thought we had it bad here in the states. Great article.
