GEOPOLITICS & SA – Trump’s Challenge – Water Shortage – Vaxx Effects – SA Boozers – Food Storage – Infation Falls – Gluten! - Letter from South Africa - [11-16-24]
We don't need to get into the geopolitical ramifications of Trump's ego-centric foreign policy to agree that American democracy should be for Americans. [Karine Jean-Pierre]
CHOOSING DIPLOMACY OVER WAR: A LESSON FROM SOUTH AFRICA. Early conflict resolutions could have spared countless lives. Parallels between Rhodesia’s independence struggle, the current war in Ukraine, and the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, the motivations behind these prolonged proxy wars suggests that earlier peace efforts might save unnecessary bloodshed. South Africa’s peaceful transition is a model for diplomacy over conflict.
A senior Rhodesian expatriate recently made the surprising contention that he thought Ian Smith should have ‘folded’early on in the independence negotiations with Britain. This would have spared the lives of tens of thousands of men sacrificed on the altar of old men’s egos and recent pugnatious warmongers like Boris Johnson. He scuppered the peace proposals at the beginning of the Ukraine special military operation. The final Zimbabwean result was economic and social collapse and this must finally be the outcome for both Ukraine and Israel.
Ukraine is busy sacrificing their people to achieve a meaningless and inevitable result as history has proven time and again – there are no winners in wars except for the banksters. For many delusional, armchair observers it’s liberal crazy-talk and unthinkable. How can you reward a monster like Putin with victory? How will you discourage him from greater atrocities in the future? Who cares how many Russians died?
The collective West, in the form of the clown-like Boris Johnson, sabotaged the Minsk accords where a settlement had already been agreed by both sides. But America is fighting to preserve its unjustified hegemony as the Global South rises to the challenge of the inevitable, in an emergent multipolar world.
Israel is decimating the Palestinian population and like Ukraine, cease-fire is a dirty word, a concession to the forces of evil, again unthinkable. Rational thought has been suspended while there exists a single surviving Hamas member. Old men play god from their well-protected bunkers, invoking old enmities to justify their obscene blood lusts. Israel has taken around 50,000 lives. But Israel claims a right and a duty to respond to the Hamas attack but surely not a total elimination of Palastinian men, women, and children who have no connections with the actions of Hamas? Both sides are sold the lie that there is no alternative. The sheep believe the wolves for the sake of an endless supply of mutton.
South Africa faced this dilemma in the 1990’s. A numerically small but well-armed and efficient white population faced a weak and disorganised black population five times larger. Apartheid guaranteed many grievances aching to be settled. South Africa was surrounded by hostile states, with the dreadful example of Zimbabwe demonstrating how any settlement might end.
And yet two exemplary men saved SA from an existential catastrophe. One decided to fold, the other decided not to fight. Although there were atrocities on both sides, their cooler heads prevailed. They came to a peaceful settlment within four years of effective diplomacy with goodwill on both sides. A free and fair general election prepared a modern and advanced constitution offering a universal suffrage parliament.
If only Ukraine, Israel, Somalia, or Sri Lanka et al had honourable leaders to imagine what could have been. South Africa’s greatest contribution to the world is an example of a real alternative to conflict, yet nobody is listening. Iran launched an unprecedented missile attack on Israel but the part you probably missed is that Iran now says a “state of war” exists between them and Israel.
France ended all arms exports to Israel which upset them enough to bomb a French factory in Syria with no thanks for all the previous arms shipments and military aid. Whilst Russia sent 33 tonnes of humanitarian aid to Lebanon, Israel bombed Syria’s capital, Damascus and Erdogan compared Israel with the Nazis and here’s why, because Turkey has the second largest military in NATO, and it’s clearly going to leave or eventually be kicked out.
Turkey also controls the Bosphorus, and Iran controls the strait of Hormuz. The Houthis effectively (to some extent at least) control the Suez. That is the holy trinity of supply disruption in oil shipments.
An interesting dilemma has arrived on NATO’s doorstep. What happens if Israel decides to attack Turkey? That would, according to the NATO treaty, constitute an attack on a NATO partner and immediately mean that all NATO members were now at war with… Israel.
So should that actually happen, obviously NATO will side with Israel. Realise that the Mossad agent Epstein was not the only scumbag running such an operation, controlling influential US politicians and businessmen, and the idea that similar operations throughout NATO countries are not carried out is beyond naive.
This means NATO will back Israel, despite Israel not being part of NATO. And when Turkey is excluded from NATO, it will fracture NATO and put an end to NATO’s fading veneer of credibility. Then there will be three of the most critical geopolitical choke points on the planet all controlled by members of the BRICS! And South Africa controls the southern most point of Africa. It is a geopolitical and strategic stronghold much like Gibraltar in the north.
CHAIRMAN XI HAS REPORTEDLY ORDERED HIS MILITARY TO “PREPARE FOR WAR.”
During a visit to the PLA Rocket Force, the elite unit overseeing China’s nuclear and conventional missiles, Xi gave a commanding speech demanding they “enhance their strategic deterrent and ensure combat readiness at all times.” The PLA Rocket Force controls nukes and long-range missile capabilities crucial for any conflict, including a potential invasion of Taiwan.
Xi’s visit comes just days after Beijing deployed over 100 jets, drones, and warships around Taiwan, signalling an escalation in the ongoing standoff. China has repeatedly stated it won’t rule out using force to bring Taiwan under its control.
The Western system is undergoing substantial changes, and the signs of moral decay, corruption, and increasing debt are impossible to ignore. With the Great Reset in motion, the United Nations, World Economic Forum, IMF, WHO, World Bank, and Davos man are all promoting a unified agenda that will affect everyone, even South Africa.
In the event of a war in the Pacific the Global South and BRICS will inevitably be involved and South Africa’s geographical strategic positioning will be crucial. Can it remain neutral and what policy will our fragile GNU take if hostilities break out?
The U.S. has struggled to maintain consistent engagement with Africa, as demonstrated by President Biden’s delayed visit to Angola. Despite attempts to promote projects like the Lobito Corridor and advocate for Africa’s representation at the UN, America’s presence remains inconsistent, leading many Africans to view it as an unreliable partner.
This perception pushes Africa closer to Moscow and Beijing, whose influence has grown rapidly through economic and military involvement, filling the gaps left by Washington’s inconsistent policies. South Africa has large debts owed to the international financiers and is at risk of facing sanctions and the weaponised dollar acting as a formidable lever to deter vulnerable nations remaining neutral in times of war.
DONALD TRUMP’S LANDSLIDE ELECTION could change everything. Multiple policy proposal videos from President Trump have resurfaced on X in recent days. Perhaps none more consequential than President Trump’s promise to dismantle the US deep state.
The video, originally published in March 2023, is now going viral following his historic victory over Kamala Harris.
Much of the American public’s consternation during the Biden administration arose from attacks on people’s rights and freedoms. From the authoritarian mandates during COVID-19 to the censorship campaign revealed in the Twitter files, citizens have clamored for government accountability.
Left-wing media outlets are reeling from the backlash of the election. Some of President’s Trump’s proposed policies are sure to affect the favored status of corporate media. A key indication of their looming difficulties can be found in the app store as X appears at the top of the ranks in free news apps.
President Trump conveys a clear outline for an accountable government. He challenges the deep state with the following proposals:
Removal of rogue bureaucrats through Executive Order.
Clean out corruption in the National Security apparatus. Overhaul the agencies so they cannot target Christians, conservatives, and enemies of the left.
Reform the FISA court.
Establish a Truth and Reconciliation Commission to declassify deep state spying, censorship, and corruption.
Launch major crackdown on government leakers who collude with fake news to subvert the government.
Make every inspector general’s office independent and separate from the office they oversee.
Ask Congress to create an independent auditing system to monitor intelligence agencies to ensure they are not spying on our citizens, or running disinformation campaigns against the American people.
Move parts of the Federal bureaucracy to new locations outside of Washington.
Ban Federal bureaucrats from taking jobs at the companies they regulate.
Push a Constitutional amendment to impose term limits on members of Congress.
President Trump’s plan targets the corruption that has plagued the federal government and harmed many people around the world. The Biden administration weaponised the FBI and DOJ to target conservatives, Christians, and their political enemies. A leaked and since-withdrawn FBI memo recently revealed that FBI agents were likening traditional Catholics to “domestic terrorists.”
Bureaucrats from the FBI and DHS directly colluded with social media companies during the 2020 election to censor Americans’ speech. During the Russia collusion hoax, government officials routinely selectively leaked information to the media to further their anti-Trump narrative.
The FISA Court process was corrupted by the Obama-Biden administration. In the leadup to the 2016 election, the FISA court issued multiple warrants to spy on members of the Trump campaign that were later declared invalid by the Justice Department Inspector General because the FBI made “material misstatements” in obtaining them. The Justice Department’s Inspector General found that in their applications for FISA warrants, the FBI made 17 significant “errors” and “omissions.”
The Justice Department’s Inspector General found that the “central” piece of evidence the FISA warrants relied on was opposition research from the Clinton campaign. An FBI lawyer admitted that he forged an email in an attempt to ensure that the Obama-Biden administration’s spying on the Trump campaign through FISA warrants could continue.
Many of Trump’s proposals seem like pipe dreams to Americans who have long dreamt of government reform. Term limits would be an uphill battle as the President would need Congress to reign in their own authority and tenure. For Democrats specifically, that would seem like an unlikely proposition given their staunch opposition to anything Trump sponsored and turkeys don’t vote for Christmas!
However, the public mandate was clear from the election results. Some of the President’s proposals may be possible. Most relevant has been President Trump’s circumvention of traditional main stream media sources. After being removed from Twitter following January 6, Trump launched Truth Social to get his message out.
The Russia hoax, everything Covid, and the Hunter Biden laptop suppression have eroded any trust in legacy media outlets. Their viewership and ratings have plummeted considerably. Meanwhile, characters such as Charlie Kirk and Elon Musk are resurfacing Trump’s agenda on X as the country prepares for his pending inauguration. With the loss of trust in main stream media, international support for peace, and sweeping victories at home, President Trump’s governance model could happen but it’s dependent on diplomacy in peace negotiations and this is this Achilles Heel.
STOP PRESS
South Africa could experience a wave of social unrest in the coming summer months as the country’s major metropolitan areas are increasingly hit by water shortages. These shortages are also exploited by a so-called ‘water tanker mafia’, which profit at the expense of the majority of the population.
Political scientist RW Johnson said the water crisis South Africa is facing follows the trajectory of the electricity crisis, except that it is not so easily solved. In terms of electricity, households and businesses turned to alternative sources of electricity, such as rooftop solar or generators, to mitigate the impact of load-shedding and reduce their reliance on the national grid.
However, with water, the same cannot be done. Only the extremely wealthy can completely reduce their reliance on the central water supply. As water shortages become increasingly common, particularly in the country’s economic hub, local municipalities and the national government may have to implement water-shedding.
Water-shedding works very similarly to load-shedding, with water supply being cut off to particular areas on a rotating basis. “I think it will lead to social unrest in time, and before that, I think it will lead to some pretty explosive results in the municipal elections,” Johnson told Biznews.
He expects the ANC and its coalition partners to lose their control over Gauteng’s metros and possibly the entire province if the looming water crisis is not addressed. Water Ledger’s Benoit Le Roy warned that water-shedding could have disastrous consequences. Shutting off reservoirs can create air pockets in downstream infrastructure. These pockets can either block the flow of water or burst pipes, exacerbating the problem. “Water-shedding cannot work – planned or unplanned – as water systems are designed to be wet and are not designed to be turned on and off,” he said.
Water-shedding will also significantly impact economic activity in Gauteng, which may provide another spark for social unrest. “In the case of Gauteng, it is a very specific issue because three major metros contain a significant portion of our national manufacturing capacity. They are all at risk from water supply disruptions,” water scientist Professor Anthony Turton said.
And he continued: “Of course, when water supply is disrupted, businesses cannot operate. It means that there will also be an impact on the workforce. You must appreciate that water is the foundation of your national economy. It is the foundation of social stability.” “Once your water infrastructure starts collapsing, you start to see things like social instability, the flight of capital out of the country, businesses collapsing, and the loss of jobs. This is a national crisis. It is an existential threat to the very viability of our national economy.”
NEWS FLASH – Eslkom seeks R5 billion on unpaid bills
Eskom, South Africa's state power utility, has threatened to sever electricity supply to Johannesburg over a R5 billion debt. This follows years of deepening municipal financial troubles, highlighted by OUTA CEO Wayne Duvenage in a recent interview. Eskom's decision reflects a broader governance crisis, with Johannesburg's leadership facing criticism for mismanagement.
The situation has escalated public discontent, with residents and businesses suffering from inconsistent power supply due to previous load-shedding. This looming power cut could severely impact the city's economy and daily life, emphasising the urgent need for effective financial and administrative reforms within the municipality.

BREAKING SOUTH AFRICAN NEWS:
South Africa has a drinking problem? The SA National Treasury hopes to address this through new taxes on alcoholic beverages. On Wednesday, the Treasury issued a call for written comments and proposals to assist the government in developing “an appropriate excise policy framework to reduce the harmful use of alcohol”, giving the public just a month in which to respond.
The liquor sector has objected to the 30-day notice, saying it cannot respond comprehensively to the policy document within such a short timeframe. The period for public comments closes on December 13. Once that is concluded, the Treasury plans to revise the draft proposals to announce new tax hikes during the 2025 Budget in February.
The discussion document is premised on the World Health Organisation’s (WHO’s) absolutist view that alcohol is harmful to health and that there is no safe level of consumption, outlined in a report published in January last year, “No level of alcohol consumption is safe for our health”, which linked even low alcohol consumption with an increased risk of premature death and disability.
If you believe this, I have a bridge to sell you. Humankind has been using alcohol for millennia with trivial ill-affects. This is yet another scam by the WHO – determined as they are to wreck the little pleasures left to the masses.
SURVIVAL MONITOR - 15 Foods to Stockpile that Never Expire | Essential Long-Term Food Storage.
If you are concerned about the way the western world is unfolding, with multiple wars escalating every month, WW3 is a possibility and if so, food shortages will occur everywhere, including South Africa.
To build a reliable food stockpile, discover the best foods that never expire and ensure your pantry is prepared for any emergency. From honey to dried beans, these essentials will keep you and your family well-nourished for years to come:
INFLATION - South Africa’s inflation dips below 4.5%
Consumer inflation slowed for a third consecutive month, cooling to 4,4% in August from 4,6% in July. This is the lowest inflation print since April 2021 when the rate was also 4,4%. Lower annual rates were recorded for several product groups, most notably transport, housing, and restaurants & hotels. In contrast, inflation for food & non-alcoholic beverages (NAB) and alcoholic beverages & tobacco edged higher in August
NARRATIVE BATTLE – What makes South Africa more healthy?
A battle is raging between the global Medical Industrial Complex hellbent on poisoning everyone (e.g. floride in tap water) and the purveyors of natural foods. A big one is something consumed in bulk every day – BREAD!
Gluten is a naturally occurring protein found in many commonly consumed grains, such as wheat, barley, rye and triticale. A natural binding agent, gluten is often extracted, concentrated and added to processed foods to hold them together and give them shape. Gluten is also the component that gives dough made with wheat flour a stretchy quality.
Because of the unpleasant side effects linked to gluten consumption, many people without celiac disease have made a conscious decision to avoid gluten-containing foods altogether. This eating plan, known as the gluten-free diet, has gained traction since 2010, when awareness about food allergies surged and experts began to openly discuss gluten-related disorders.
If you wish to eliminate gluten from your diet, check product labels thoroughly and avoid grains or products that contain any form of wheat, barley, rye, triticale and even oats. Although oats are naturally gluten-free, they may be contaminated with gluten if they are processed with other gluten-containing foods. Full details HERE.
