BRITAIN CONTINUES IN DECLINE - 2023-24 - War Powers: Is the UK a Military Dictatorship or is it a Legal Limited Monarchy?

It is said that the first indication of a failing state is the deterioration of the roads followed by a general collapse of infrastructure, local councils' bankruptcy, and services in general.  It is always first seen at the local level, as Lord Farmer comments: ‘The Cultural Pendulum Needs to Swing Back so We Can Live Happy, Healthy Lives Again’ [British Thought Leaders]

“Potholes caused misery in 2023 on a scale not seen in years, but scientists hope technology like 'self-healing roads will help rid us of them for good.  Reports of potholes and damage they caused hit five-year highs, according to local governments and the AA. The AA estimates they may have cost UK drivers as much as £500m in repairs. Scientists warn climate change will worsen the problem as more wet weather and temperature extremes give an extra battering to the surfaces we drive on.”

IF YOU THINK ‘lovely. cuddly’ Britain, headed by a dysfunctional fairy-tale King, is all about ‘looking after the little people’ (according to his Coronation Oath); think again.  Examine what our leaders do (behind the scenes), how it’s spun in the MSM, and how they use obfuscation with plausible denial, by wrapping legislation within indecipherable legalese of interminable length.

THE ONLINE SAFETY ACT (OSB) illustrates the veiled totalitarian, internal nature of HMG.  Welcome to where it’s now official government policy that YOU can’t publish “misinformation”, but The Guardian, the BBC, Disney, Netflix et al CAN, says Off Guardian.  As I reported in September 2023, the Bill comes under the guise of being predominantly for the safety of children in an attempt to protect them from online grooming and abuse and also to limit the reach of terrorist propaganda.

This is the use of a propaganda technique known as “card-stacking.”  The government has presented something everyone can agree upon, for example, child abuse is evil and children need protecting, to induce people, including our representatives in Parliament, to believe that legislation is necessary. This is a complete betrayal of the ‘democracy’ that many Brits believe they live in. The opacity of the OSB has to be deliberate. It suggests a plan to hide legislation from scrutiny before it’s made law.  This indicates that HMG knew that openly stating their full intentions, for what will become the Online Safety Act (OSA), would elicit stiff opposition from Parliament and the public. Thus HMG has consequently attempted to obscure that intent.

Naturalnews.com reports: Take a look at section 179 making it illegal to publish false information with the intent to cause harm…and then look at section 180, which exempts all MSM outlets from this new law:…and that’s without getting into Ofcom’s “select committee”, or how they choose to define “misinformation” (s. 152)

Welcome to the modern definition of “freedom of speech”, where the MSM are directly and explicitly permitted to “knowingly publish false information with intent to cause non-trivial harm”, and you can be sent to jail for a year for calling out their lies.  The EU’s own ‘Digital Services Act’ is coming into force later this month with the focus on “Misinformation, Disinformation”, and “Loss of Trust” at Davos two weeks ago; the real crackdown on internet free speech is about to kick into high gear.

BUT HEY! Who’s calling the ‘Mother of Democracy’ a Totalitarian State?  UK Column answers this very question – quoted directly from their article:

“As if Britain’s obligations to NATO were not already dangerously extensive (as previously neutral new members Finland and Sweden joined) the British government has now signed a “Security Agreement” with a war-ravaged Ukraine—the terms of the treaty risk confrontation with Russia. Bellicose and hubristic rhetoric from British politicians like Johnson, Truss and Shapps, and military personnel like General Sanders have real-world consequences. Not one in a million Brits understand the massive gap between political ambition and the weak state of British defence capacity.

Not long ago Tobias Ellwood MP Chairman of the Defence Committee was seen as a hysterical extremist when he said, “Britain should start a war directly against Russia, we are fighting in Europe, we need to introduce martial law.”  Not for 60 years, and the Cuban missile crisis, have the British been in such danger. And yet as the General Election approaches there is no sign of any genuine peace party. Millions of Brits are uneasy with this never-ending war footing and the lack of genuine debate in Parliament or the public square, wondering how these decisions are made and what checks and balances are in place. We should therefore ask how Britain’s involvement in foreign conflict is lawful. Sources

• Claire Mills, Senior Library Clerk at the House of Commons Library, specialising in the Armed Forces and defence, has advised Parliament on this very question that the UK’s Ministry of Defence is an arbitrary, unaccountable dictatorship by the Secretary of State for Defence, Grant Shapps. From her point of view, any involvement in foreign conflict is lawful.

• Mills’ claims do not, however, stand up to scrutiny, upon consulting information that will be readily available to her in the House of Commons Library. Also, her reference to the importance of non-governmental “stakeholders” hints at her attempt to mask Parliament’s ancient war powers from Parliament itself may be a device for transitioning from representative democracy to the stakeholder capitalism model being promoted by the World Economic Forum.

• This side-lining of Parliament will only serve to favour vested interests, including the Military-Industrial-Complex, instead of heeding the warnings about the MIC contained in President Dwight D. Eisenhower's 1961 Farewell Address.

DO THE ACTIONS of HMG since WW2 pass the Smell Test?  Jeff Thomas explains the background in his excellent article last week (lightly edited):

The term "Nazi" refers to ‘Nationalsozialistisch’, or "National Socialism," and its overall concept is fascism – a construct that encompassed a corporatist economic system, socialist political system, and totalitarian rule.

Whilst this description may seem rather convoluted, the concept was believed by Wall Street and the US government in the 1930s because they saw this as a road to the future. So much so that they provided considerable financial and logistical support for Nazi Germany during the 1930s, and even into the 1940s, financed through the Bank for International Settlements (BIS), established in 1930.

Following the end of the war, only a handful of Germans were prosecuted for war crimes at the Nuremberg trials. Countless others were taken on board by Russia, US industry, and Western governments to educate American industry in German methodology.  For many years, Nazi concepts remained under the radar. Still, in recent years, they’ve become a major force within, not only the US, but also US ally states: Canada, Australia, the UK and, most notably, the EU.  The basic concepts are perennial in their attraction to those who seek power to dominate and control:

• Create an uber class of those who are highly positioned in both industry and politics.

• Cripple the middle class economically, so that they no longer have the power to make their own decisions.

• Offer dramatically increased dependency on the State as a relief from the economic hardship created by the state (aka Welfare)

• Remove freedoms in trade for the promise of largesse from the State (aka UBI)

• Institute a police state and totalitarian rule to ensure that the new paradigm will be lasting.

• Once controls are fully implemented and the populace has become dependent on the new system, begin to remove the promised entitlements.

The idea behind this final bullet is that, once the population is thoroughly dependent upon the state, they will have lost the power to object or rebel when entitlements are removed; they become powerless.

If the public becomes aware of these nefarious government actions, ‘The People’ will protest and disrupt society. Therefore, governments obscure the truth with complex legalese and apply propaganda and military-grade PsyOp whilst ‘selling the sizzle’ as a benefit to the common man.

Adolf Hitler was proud of saying, "Make the lie big. Keep it simple. Keep saying it and eventually, they will believe it."   Today, the jurisdictions listed above are in the completion stage of bullet point #2 and have begun to provide the offer of bullet point #3: the promised solution.

Klaus Schwab’s notoriety was earned by founding the World Economic Forum (WEF).  Over the last half-century, the WEF has grown in influence to become one of the foremost leaders in the proposition of a utopian ‘New World Order’ and Global Government.  Clearly Schwab & Co have engaged in magical thinking but their worldwide actions are risking the demise of the West, economic failure, and the collapse of commercial banking.

For generations, political leaders have offered empty promises.  Britain’s first-past-the-post voting system ensures that the two leading political parties remain in power – forever – regardless of the result.  Political leaders have consistently made a grand show of disagreeing with each other and entertaining themselves in the House of Commons comedic farce.

The result, no matter which political party theoretically holds the reins of power, has caused the government to become aggressively oppressive, grow larger and more powerful, the people have been taxed into poverty, and their freedoms removed resulting in the decline in all aspects of governance, social, political, and economic. This is the reality of the dark recesses hidden by the sociopathic elite rulers of a corrupt and evil Deep State Establishment that rules this tiny pugnacious island. Comments from UK Column:

• Technology Porter Down Campus “The Vaccine Development and Evaluation Centre” (VDEC) –which has the mandate to develop “The Disease X” Vaccine– is a civilian research entity under Britain’s National Health Service (NHS) managed by the UK Health and Security Agency (UKHSA) headed by Dame Jennifer Harries (DBE).  

• Of significance, VDEC which was inaugurated in August 2023 is located in: “The Defence Science and Technology Laboratory” [Dstl] at Porton Down, Wiltshire, which is one of the UK Ministry of Defence’s most secretive and controversial military research facilities specialising in the testing of biological and chemical weapons.

• The UK Health and Security Agency (UKHSA) has initiated a project in global and country-level “Integrated Disease Surveillance” funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. A representative of the Gates Foundation is a member of UKHSA’s Advisory Board.

• What is required is a mass movement to oppose the adoption of the Pandemic Treaty at the World Health Assembly (May 27, 2024).

• We also call for the immediate cancellation of the Covid-19 “Killer Vaccine.”

• Ironically, to say the least, the WHO Director-General Tedros admits that “the momentum had been slowed down by entrenched positions and “a torrent of fake news, lies, and conspiracy theories”.

     

Hypothetical “Disease X”: The WHO Pandemic Treaty Is a Fraud. Demands Compliance for “Next Pandemic”

STOP PRESS – In ‘The Daily Telegraph’, Daniel Johnson writes it may already be too late for the West to avoid a war with Russia. 

AND Peter Hitchens fears our leaders will plunge Britain into another World War. Our Secretary of Defence, Shapps looks further into the dilemma being faced by HMG.

NEWS FLASH -  SITREP – Britain’s War News in Brief

In a major speech at Lancaster House in London, Mr Shapps said the “peace dividend” that followed the end of the Cold War in the early 1990s is over. Mr Shapps said, “Because the era of the peace dividend is over, in five years we could be looking at multiple theatres including Russia, China, Iran, and North Korea.  Ask yourself, looking at today’s conflicts across the world, is it more likely that that number will grow or reduce? I suspect we all know the answer. It’s likely to grow.”

Mr Shapps took over from Ben Wallace in August 2023. He added, “We find ourselves at the dawn of this new era, the Berlin Wall a distant memory, and we’ve come full circle, moving from a post-war to pre-war world.  An age of idealism has been replaced by a period of hard-headed realism. Today our adversaries are busy rebuilding their barriers, old enemies are reanimated, new foes are taking shape, and battle lines are being redrawn. Britain is facing a ‘Pre-War World’ and can’t risk cutting Defence Spending.”

Shapps is a naïve politician, not versed in military strategy, relying on generals and admirals to provide briefs; so what do they say?  Rear Admiral Chris Parry has warned that "almost anything" could trigger the next World War.  He’s been saying for about five years that we are confronting an axis of autocracy that consists of Russia, China, Iran, and North Korea; they're acting in concert against the ‘free’ world.

Parry said, “At the moment, we're seeing Russia push on Ukraine and by implication onto Western Europe, seeing China all over the South and East China Sea.  Iran, of course, is destabilising the Middle East in its interests, and I think you'll see North Korea getting aggressive against South Korea soon.  To tell the truth, if you join up the dots, there's quite a lot of potential for a World War there. If the free world doesn't stand and resist we're in a situation where almost anything would trigger it.  There is some truth in what Donald Trump is saying in terms of us being on the brink, or possibly the brink, of WW3. What is making it worse is that we are more concentrated on things going on internally."

So, Gen Z – you need to ask: “What are we fighting for?”  Back in the day, my generation had similar problems; we protested, won in the end, and our world enjoyed 50 years of relative peace thereafter:

Where are the mass protests from young generations today?  It’s past time you called out these failed, geriatric supposed ‘leaders’ who have been sucking the very life out of you for decades, leaving a Western world like an empty husk, compared with that which I experienced in 1950s Britain.  Believe me, war is hell, and you need no part of it – let the ruling elite do the fighting this time if they wish but you MUST stay out of their contrived battles.

Here’s Barry McGuire with ‘Eve of Destruction’ (1965), only three years after the 1962 Cuba Crisis, after which the world was saved by JFK.  Look around, where is our equivalent today?  The well-known idiom, “Cometh the hour, cometh the man” means when the situation is tough, and when the time comes, a competent leader will turn the tide and win the situation, like Winston Churchill or JFK perhaps.

THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK – Are the British armed forces even capable of fighting the next war?

HEADLINE: “British Army in crisis: MPs warned armed forces are 'haemorrhaging' troops faster than they can recruit”.  Government and politicians have been warned that the British armed forces are “haemorrhaging” troops faster than they can recruit as uninterested young people and draconian entry requirements have left the British Army knee-deep in a “disastrous” military staffing crisis.

A decades-long recruitment slump means the British Army is at its smallest since the 1850s, and it will likely miss this year’s recruitment target by a third, the outsourcing contractor Capita admitted at a defence select committee inquiry.  The British Army has unveiled a TV ad featuring war robots; they say, “Nothing can do what a soldier can do”

US Nukes are on British soil which exposes our ‘unsinkable aircraft carrier’ to sudden attack from you know who!  Mehdi Motaharnia, an expert on the US military, said that “the United States is seeking to wage a psychological war on Russia by deploying nuclear weapons to the UK.”

Motaharnia said in an exclusive interview with the ‘Iranian Labour News Agency’ (ILNA), “By publishing news, including the deployment of its nuclear weapons on British soil, the United States seeks to launch a specific psychological war that is addressed to Russia.”  He added, “It should be noted that psychological warfare occurs in preparation for military operations, or before military operations to demonstrate power.”

The expert continued, “It must be accepted that after the war in Ukraine, Russia has faced some problems and in the meantime, Moscow has raised harsh criticisms against Washington.  If we put this action of the United States in the UK next to these issues, we can see that the Western Alliance has caused them to support Ukraine and the continuation of this issue has caused Russia to be addressed as well.”

According to Motaharnia, the UK as an ally of America and takes important steps in concert with Washington.  The British ruling elite seeks to recreate London's power.  He said, “London seeks to show its power in this equation, and in the meantime, especially in the field of military issues, we see new strategies that make sense in the form of three layers:”

• The first layer is the threat of military attack

• The second layer is presented as a military show

• Finally, the third layer is a military attack

INFLATION – Shock: UK Inflation increased last month!

The BoE is arguably more hawkish than the Fed because UK services inflation looks far stickier than in other developed nations.  The uncertain outlook was reflected in a split on the Monetary Policy Committee. Six members voted to keep rates at 5.25%, two hawkish members wanted to hike rates to 5.5%, and one dove favoured a 0.25% cut.
