Oscar Wilde said: "some cause happiness wherever they go, some when they go." I like the adage: “Money can’t buy you happiness but it does bring you a more pleasant form of misery.” – Spike Milligan
NEWS FLASH: Don't forget HMG's ridiculous ALERT tomorrow at 1500. Have you turned it off yet? I gave readers guidance a few weeks ago. You can opt-out of the national test either by turning off 'Emergency Alerts' in the phone settings or by switching the phone off.: How to turn it off! FUN TIDBIT: John Rubino came out with a classic this week: "The World Economic Forum (run by Bond villains Klaus Schwab and Bill Gates) is an obvious target for parody. At least I think the next two images are parodies. The way things are going they might be actual WEF proposals".
TAIWAN SPECIAL: Direct from China - Header translation: "Surround Taiwan! The "Joint Sword" Exercise and the 'Battle Ready Police Patrol Exercise' in the Eastern War Zone around Taiwan Island : official footage released for day one & day two together”:
THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK: Is GB News 'Black Ops Controlled Opposition'? Billionaire Christopher Chandler holds a controlling stake in GB News and was a former PR guru to Boris Johnson and the Tory Party – that's enough to sharpen my BS indicator. There is no other MSM which doesn’t entirely follow the official narrative. However GBN is different in a very clever way by publishing official narratives whilst simultaneously appearing to be countering them. From Dec 2021: note the 'Covid cases are increasing' at the end: https://twitter.com/victoryday_hope/status/1472262570790768647?lang=ca
GB News was launched in June 2021 and continued without breaking Ofcom's broadcasting rules until Mark Steyn was branded 'materially misleading' in an Ofcom February 2023 update. Ofcom said it was: "Not because it exercised its editorial freedom to challenge mainstream narratives around Covid-19 vaccination. But because, in doing so, it presented a materially misleading interpretation of official data without sufficient challenge or counterweight, risking harm to viewers."
They incorrectly said the programme claimed "official UKHSA data provided definitive evidence of a causal link between receiving a third Covid-19 vaccine and higher infection, hospitalisation and death rates". Well, we know the answer to that now.
BREAKING NEWS: HMG Press Release: "Children aged 6 months to 4 years in clinical risk groups to be offered COVID-19 vaccine, says JCVI". This is EXTREME CHILD ABUSE! Thank goodness there's a group of medical practitioners prepared to stand up and be counted per their Press Release .
'Doctors for Patients UK (DfPUK)' was established in September 2022 and has become a fast-growing group of British doctors dedicated to practising evidence-based, ethical and patient-centred medicine. The group was borne out of increasing concerns that core principles of medical ethics are being disregarded, such as the oath: “First do no harm”. Andrew Bridgen MP speaks to UK Column about Covid–19 policy and vaccine concerns
THIS WEEK Christine Lagarde, the ECB President, made 10 Key Points about the global financial system and I wouldn't disagree with any of them. The EU has even attempted to create an alternative to the SWIFT system to facilitate more cooperation with Iran, but failed. It's not only the BRICSs+ (Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa) attempting to get around US sanction madness using the weaponised dollar. Much of the world is heartedly sick of America's continual interference in their efforts to keep control of all the levers of global power with the policy of Full Spectrum Dominance .
But it's not what Lagarde said - but rather what she omitted; no mention of the coming Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDC) or the new Unicoin (UMU). The Fed also announced their FedNow payment system which BOOM covered earlier this week.
But many commentators have failed to notice the Bank of England (BoE) and HM Treasury (HMT) working quietly in the background having recently published a consultation paper assessing the case for a retail CBDC and outlining a proposed technological model. This paper is 116 pages long - I scanned it for significant 'buried' weasel words so you don't have to:
Page 32 - There are already examples of the direction in which the digital pound could support innovation through improved functionality for users, such as programmability. Programmability, delivered by Payment Interface Providers, could also enable the use of Smart Contracts, which carry out specific actions based on pre-defined terms and conditions.
Page 47 - As set out in Box A, novel features such as programmability, Smart Contracts or micropayments,
Page 79 - 81 – (now for the plausible deniability: 'it's not us gov'). While it mignt be possible to program the digital pound, HM Treasury and the Bank will not pursue government or central bank-initiated programmable functions because this functionality could damage the uniformity of the CBDC and cause user distrust. However, during our research, stakeholders highlighted the potential benefits of programmability for innovation and user experience. HM Treasury and the Bank would therefore permit Payment Interface Providers and External Service Interface Providers to implement such functionalities themselves.
Page 90 - The Forum also reflected on the opportunities that CBDC could offer for person-to-business (P2B) payments and the conditions that would need to be in place for retail CBDC to be adopted by consumers and merchants. It was argued that achieving widespread adoption of new payment methods was very complex, but programmability, smart contracts or micropayments could drive demand for CBDC payments.
BoE and HMT are entering the design phase of their work, estimated to take two to three years, after which the BoE & HMG will decide whether to build a “digital pound.” In addition, there are ongoing multiple cross-border CBDC pilots, which involve central banks, international organisations such as the 'Bank for International Settlements (BIS)', and private financial institutions.
HOWEVER – "The central bank will have absolute control," as the head of the BIS, Agustín Carstens explains digital currencies to the serfs. He says: “For our analysis on CBDC in particular for general use, we tend to establish the equivalence with cash, and there is a huge difference there. For example in cash, we don’t know for example who is using a hundred dollar bill today; we don’t know who is using a one thousand peso bill today. A key difference with a CBDC is that the central bank will have absolute control on the rules and regulations that determine the use of that expression of central bank liability. And also, we will have the technology to enforce that. Those two issues are extremely important, and that makes a huge difference with respect to what cash is."
The banking crisis last month was timely if we agree that CBDCs are the end-goal. Financial & Economic events over centuries appear to be culminating in this decade. To ensure that CBDCs will be widely accepted or even welcome, the banksters need a minimum of two criteria as well as compliance:
Cryptocurrencies will require government regulation. Several of the banks involved in the recent crisis were highly invested in Crypto which hastened their demise and the banking crisis devastated some Cryptos . Here is a great Bitcoin primer aimed at Preppers
People have to be desperate to accept retail CBDCs as a total money control system. Recent pilots, such as in Nigeria have proven ineffective; nevertheless work progresses in over 100 countries. But in a crisis your bank account could be emptied, after all Canada did it and Cyprus in 2013, very quickly indicating that the banking fraternity already have control over your money.
What if you were offered a bailout but it was in the form of a CBDC to replace the money you lost but that you can only use digitally? I think that most would accept and worry about the consequences later. There are always bills to pay, mortgages to service, and household living expenses to meet. Here's a short video about CBDCs at the BIS:
As an example; a quiet corner of commercial law has been thrust into the political spotlight recently when Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem intervened in routine updates to the 'Uniform Commercial Code' (UCC). They expressed concerns about federal overreach, perceived threats to individual economic liberties, and the potential emergence of a US CBDC. This development is worrisome because the UCC is unfamiliar to many Americans but serves a vital function within the American economic framework. https://www.barrons.com/articles/crypto-commercial-laws-definition-of-money-5fbd8fe4
AND it looks like my prediction of South Africa being far behind was confirmed when the South African Reserve Bank (SARB) told the WEF: "SARB is eager to launch its own digital currency, but it won't be signing laws to allow people to walk into grocery stores and pay with that anytime soon". Because before CBDCs can be implemented governments must have a functional Digital ID system which is coming soon to a town near you.
WILL THE COMING DIGITAL IDs be 'safe & effective'? I don't think so. A member of both the Trade Advisory Group for Financial Services at the UK Department for International Trade and the UK’s Economic Crime Strategic Board, Bob Wigley voiced his prediction at the 'New Digital Assets and Money Symposium' conference in the City of London on February 7 2023.
He said he believed HMG Britain will roll out an "App that records each citizen’s economic footprint, including credit ratings, ‘know your customer’ information, and anti-money laundering data. This will be the year that we finally persuade the banking system that we need an economic digital identity system, just like the NHS app,” Wigley said. “[It] will be personal and attached to each citizen as we need a wider fully digital economic identity programme.”
BUT Apple has already 'stolen a march' on the Digital ID enthusiasts (NB: this metaphoric expression comes from medieval warfare, where a march was the distance an army could travel in a day.) Who needs CBDCs or a National Digital ID program to track every financial transaction you make? Apple has already beaten everyone to the punch with their 'AppleID' that now can be linked to your bank account as well. This week Apple announced that they are now offering attractive rates on savings accounts (“the hustle”) through their 'Apple Wallet', as they team up with banking giant Goldman Sachs.
Elon Musk and others are racing to create the first "do everything" App that can track pretty much everything one does in life. Apple's iPhone, which is already in the hands of over 1 billion worldwide, is a device that can now pretty much link everything you do to your AppleID. This is a brilliant move by Goldman Sachs which like many US banks is experiencing an exodus of deposits following last month's banking crisis.
In their Q1 report this week, Goldman Sachs CEO, David Solomon, admitted that their partnership with Apple is expected to reinforce their deposit base. Pam Martens of Wall Street on Parade also covered this new venture reminding everyone how JP Morgan actually heads the criminal banking cartel with their history of "dubious dealings" going all the way back to the Wall Street financial crash of 1929.
In the imminent future, smartphones are the instrument onto which, in the guise of the digital verification of our identity, the compliant will upload their biometric data fingerprints, photograph, medical records, vaccination status, and DNA swab to a centralised database to which the 32 public authorities presiding over the UK biosecurity state will have access. Under the Digital Economy Act 2017, which I guess you have never heard of, let alone know what's in it?
Smart phones are the instrument that will track carbon footprints in order to monitor and control the quantity of meat, dairy products, energy, oil, petrol and other products to which the UK biosecurity state, under the terms of its agreements of Agenda 2030 signed by the UK Government in 2015, and will progressively cut off our access between now and 2030.
And, within the next few years, smartphones will become the digital wallet through which the Bank of England will have complete control over how much, on what and where we spend its Central Bank Digital Currency. Smart phones are the precursor of what Klaus Schwab, the founder of the World Economic Forum, accurately and prophetically boasted will be ‘the fusion of our physical, our digital and our biological identities’ in the rapidly approaching future he has planned for us. It's all published if you care to look but for a précis find out why you should destroy this instrument of the Devil
I'm not hanging around in Britain to be greeted by a total control system in the next year or two. I'm going south until the WEF get the entire planet into their web. And when that happens I WILL NOT COMPLY. Neil Oliver says: "We are sleepwalking into a ZERO TRUST new world"; he sums it up in 11 minutes – we will be digital slaves:
ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION is an increasingly global problem but is becoming a crisis of massive proportions in Britain. Since 2018, some 85,000 people illegally entered the UK by small boat; 45,000 of them in 2022 alone. All travelled through multiple safe countries in which they could and should have claimed asylum. Many came from safe countries, like Albania. Almost all passed through France. Over 150,000 are expected to cross the English Channel this year alone and our useless government is doing absolutely nothing about it.
The Home Secretary updated the House of Commons in March on new legislation to stop the boats. This has been going on for decades and nothing has worked. I'm convinced the ‘BLOB’, [more next week on the Raab saga], don't want to do anything about it because they are still fighting the 2016 Referendum result and this is just another nail in the Brexit coffin. HMG have suggested totally impractical solutions such as sending these aliens to Rwanda for God's sake. Nearly a year ago Boris promised asylum seekers entering Britain via unauthorised routes would be sent to Kigali. I wrote about it at the time:
INFLATION WATCH: Major goods-makers are under pressure to rein in price rises, after inflation stuck at a double-digit level last month; with food prices rocketing 19%, focus has turned to ‘greedflation’, the process where firms use rising costs and supply chain bottlenecks as an excuse to pump up their profits.
Yesterday, Dr George Dibb, head of the ‘Centre for Economic Justice’ at the IPPR think-tank, suggested authorities should take a closer look at corporate profits. “While families struggle to make ends meet, some companies continue to make higher profits from these price hikes, ignoring the impact on consumers. It’s time for policymakers to look at ‘greedflation’ and prioritise reining in corporate profits, instead of blaming workers’ wages for driving up inflation."
But is this fair criticism? Tesco blamed “significant operating cost inflation” as it reported a halving in profits last year, with inflation forcing consumers to cut back. So which food prices are up by 19% and which foods are worst affected? Here are the details.
The crucial impact of persistent inflation plays to the BoE’s stated intention of raising interest rates in May, likely 25bps, which will screw housing costs once again. But too many ‘economists’ and bankers still think that it’s a demand problem thus ignoring cost-push inputs and former MPC member Danny Blanchflower agrees.
SURVIVAL MONITOR: My good friend Andy Bunting has a message for all my readers: a guide to survive the massive attack which is upon us. Andy believes that our corrupt and broken government (HMG) can be reformed and returned to its original purpose: TO SERVE THE PEOPLE! Andy says: "Fact: MP's think they're untouchable. They know they're above the law. Why do I state this as fact? – 'Parliamentary Privilege' - but what is an example of parliamentary privilege in the UK?"
"The privileges are freedom of speech, freedom from arrest on civil matters, freedom of access to the sovereign, and those 'the most favourable construction should be placed on the entire Houses' proceedings'. Fair and accurate reporting of the proceedings of Parliament is also protected by parliamentary privilege."
Then & only then will true & real Democracy return to the UK:" OF THE PEOPLE - BY THE PEOPLE - FOR THE PEOPLE". Andy lists 6 simple key steps we can take to save us – read his Substack here and comment because this is SURVIVAL WRIT LARGE:

I had no idea you were dealing with that kind of inflation. That is off the charts. My suspicion is that our real inflation rate us not far behind. They skew the numbers so badly, nobody trusts them anymore. Thanks for the plug.
The garden and spring chores are keeping me from the computer more these days. I am not ignoring anybody, just busy.
Our faith will keep us out of this darkness they keep trying to pull us into. Peace be with you.
Thanks P&S. Massively erudite post. Very appreciated indeed.
