“All tyrannies rule through fraud and force, but once the fraud is exposed they must rely exclusively on force.” [George Orwell]
IN 1891, Rhodes became prime minister of the Cape Colony, a position he would hold for the next five years. Addressing the Cape Parliament, Rhodes proclaimed: "If you were to sleep for five and twenty years, you might find a gentleman called your prime minister sitting in Cape Town and controlling the whole, not only to the Zambezi but to Lake Tanganyika."
Now known as the "Colossus," he initiated railway systems that ran from the Cape through the Orange State of the Boers. But before this venture got underway, matters within the Cape Colony remained to be settled. The discovery of seemingly limitless gold reserves in Witwatersrand brought thousands of “Uitlanders" ("foreigners") to the Transvaal, which remained under the rule of the "Boers" (Dutch settlers).
The foreigners, for the most part, came from Great Britain, Australia, and the United States. Few spoke Dutch or German, the dominant European languages in the Transvaal and the Orange Free State, and they were subjected to restrictions, including a four-year residency in the Boer territories before receiving the right to vote in public elections.
The Uitlanders were also subjected to heavy taxes, including an onerous tax on dynamite that did not apply to Boers. Rhodes, believing that the situation in Johannesburg was on the verge of armed insurrection, organised an invasion of the Boer Republic under Sir Leander Starr Jameson.
A physician by profession, Jameson was also a member of Rhodes’s Secret Society, a director of the ‘British South Africa Company’, a drunkard, a fool-hardy adventurer, and one of Rhodes's sexual partners. Jameson was Cecil Rhodes's right-hand man. He conducted the failed Jameson Raid but did bring about the Second Boer War.
If the raid had succeeded it would have eliminated the two Boer Republics - the Transvaal and the Orange Free State and enabled Rhodes to paint more of the “dark continent" in British "red." It also would have represented a step toward the creation of a world federation of English-speaking dominions and allowed the Rothschild family to massively increase their gold reserves.
The raid showed that the ‘Society of the Elect’ had become, within a few short years, a formidable force of empire. Thanks to the machinations and financial support of Lord Rothschild, Rhodes maintained a stable of "angels and lambs" (young boys to furnish his sexual needs). He had gained his appointment as the Cape Colony's prime minister, and Archibald Primrose, the Fifth Earl of Rosebery and a new member of the Society, had become Britain's prime minister.
Lord Rosebery married Hannah Rothschild, the daughter of Mayer Amschel Rothschild II, in 1874. A notorious pederast, Rosebery was sheltered from scandal by his father-in-law, even when he was condemned for "buggering" the son of the Marquess of Queensberry.
Reginald Brett, Second Viscount Esher, became permanent secretary to the Office of Works and Queen Victoria's closest advisor. Brett, too, engaged in pederasty and had a string of affairs with a host of Eton boys, including his son, Maurice. Arthur Balfour, yet another accused pederast and alleged sadomasochist, became First Lord of the Treasury.
The British nobility have maintained their dysfunctional depravations to this very day and yet none have faced retribution or criminal charges being fully protected by the British Deep State. The British Empire robbed and looted have the world for two centuries but in the 21st century their time is up. Britain I declining both geopolitically and economically as the Global South exert an irresistible challenge to the Western hegemony.
THE JAMESON RAID - On December 29, 1895, Sir Jameson set out for Johannesburg with a meager force of 494 men, including 400 members of the Matabeleland Mounted Police. He thought that this small army was sufficient to conquer the seventeen districts of the Transvaal since it was equipped with eighteen Maxims, the first recoil-operated machine guns. He claimed, "I will simply blow [the Boers] away," Jameson bragged to Frederick Hamilton, editor of the Johannesburg Star saying "I shall draw a zone of lead a mile on each side of my column, and no Boer will be able to live in it."
The Boers knew that the raid was coming. Armed with German Mauser rifles, they waited until Jameson and his column marched into a valley beneath the hills of Krugersdorp before opening fire at long range. Thirty of Jameson's men fell at once. Thirty more, including Jameson and Frank Rhodes (Cecil's brother), were captured. The remainder retreated in disarray.
The effects of the debacle were immediate. Rhodes was forced to resign as prime minister and as chairman of the Charter Company. A heavy ransom for the prisoners was paid to the Transvaal by Rhodes and Alfred Beit. Jameson was brought to England, where he was charged with mounting a military attack on a friendly state. He was sentenced to fifteen months' imprisonment.
Then came an unexpected blowback. Upon hearing the news of the raid, Kaiser Wilhelm of Germany sent a telegram to Paul Kruger, the president of the Transvaal, in which he said: "I express my sincere congratulations that, without calling on the aid of friendly powers, you and your people, by your energy against the armed bands which have broken into your country as disturbers of the peace, have succeeded in re-establishing peace, and defending the independence of the country against attacks from without."
The cable caused such an uproar that the British people clamoured for war against Germany. The Kaiser had congratulated Kruger for killing English settlers without mentioning a word about the plight of the Uitlanders. Under mounting pressure, Queen Victoria sent this telegram to her grandson, Kaiser Wilhelm: "I cannot refrain from expressing my deep regret at the telegram you sent to President Kruger. It is considered very unfriendly towards this country, which I feel it is not intended to be, and has, I grieve to say, made a most unfavorable impression." The English hatred of Germany, provoked by the Kaiser's condemnation of Jameson, was a contributing cause to the outbreak of World War I.
Thanks to the cable, Rhodes regained the esteem of his countrymen, and Jameson became a folk hero. Alfred Austin’s first published poem as Britain's Poet Laureate was a tribute to the leader of the raiders called "Jameson's Ride." It appeared in The Times of London on January 11, 1896, and opened with these words:
“Wrong! Is it wrong? Well, maybe; But I'm going, boys, all the same. Do they think me a Burgher's baby, to be scared by a scolding name? They may argue, and prate, and order; Go, tell them to save their breath: Then, over the Transvaal border, and gallop for life or death! Let lawyers and statesmen addle their pates over points of law: If sound be our sword and saddle, and gun-gear, who cares one straw? When men of our blood pray us to ride to their kinsfolk's aid, not Heaven itself shall stay us from the rescue they call a raid.”
In the wake of the raid, the Boers, thanks to the Germans, became armed to the teeth, and Alfred Milner, thanks to Lord Rothschild, became the new governor of the Cape Colony. The gold of Witwatersrand could be left to the Dutch, and so, a war was rigged. The rigging was made possible not only by the Milner appointment but also by Jan Smuts, a prominent Boer, who had graduated from Cambridge.
Smuts was a vigorous supporter of Rhodes and had acted for many years as his agent in Kimberley. In 1898, he settled in the Transvaal and became the state secretary and the chief political advisor to President Kruger. As soon as Smuts was in place, Milner ordered provocative troop movements on the Boer frontier.
In keeping with the script, the movements persisted until Smuts drew up an ultimatum, which threatened war if the threatening troop activity persisted. Milner rejected the request and Kruger declared war on October 9, 1899. The conflict was, as G. Edward Griffin writes in “The Creature from Jekyll Island," “an act of careful engineering" by Milner, Rothschild, and the Society of the Elect on both sides (British and Boer), "one making outrageous demands and the other responding to those demands in pretended indignation."
In the first weeks of fighting, the British suffered casualties that exceeded 3,000. In 1902, by the time the conflict came to an end, 7,582 British soldiers had been killed in action, 13,139 died of disease, 40,000 were wounded, and one had been eaten by a crocodile.
Six thousand Boers were killed in action, while 26,000 white civilians and 17,182 African natives died of disease and starvation in concentration camps that had been set up in the Cape and Orange River colonies. The war had salubrious results for Rhodes and Milner, including the incorporation of the Transvaal and the Orange Free State into the British Empire.
The 20,000 children who had died in the British concentration camps were of little consequence to Milner. When faced with criticism about the atrocities, Milner responded, "If we are to build up anything in South Africa, we must disregard, and absolutely disregard, the screamers."
When Stead expressed his outrage at the war in an article that appeared in the ‘Review of Reviews’, Rhodes chastised his journalistic friend as follows: “That is the case which will be fatal to our ideas - insubordination. Do not you think that it is very disobedient of you? How can our Society be worked if each sets himself up as the sole judge of what ought to be done? Just look at our position here. We three are in South Africa, all of us your boys, I, Milner, and Garrett, all of whom learned politics from you. We are on the spot, and we are unanimous in declaring this war to be necessary. You have never been to South Africa, and yet, instead of deferring to the judgment of your boys, you fling yourself in violent opposition to the war.”
Milner had the grace to confess his role in the war. "I precipitated the crisis, which was inevitable before it was too late," he wrote in a letter to Lord Frederick Roberts. "It is not very agreeable, and in many eyes, not a very creditable piece of business to have been largely instrumental in bringing about a big war." However, the 20,000 children who had died in the British concentration camps were of little consequence to Milner. Sources

STOP PRESS – WW3 Kick-off? Maybe not.
How should Israel respond to Iran? Here's what four experts say. Iran's aerial attack on Israel — launched from Iranian soil — seems to have changed the game between the two countries. How should Israel respond? Four experts give their takes. [by Yanon Shalom Yitach - April 15, 2024 - 09:03]
Over the years, ties between the Hashemite Kingdom and the Revolutionary Guards have known ups and downs and it seems that since October 7 relations between the two countries have deteriorated. Jordan, like Egypt, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, and others, is trying to “butter their bread on both sides,” on the one hand to avoid conflict with Iran and on the other to strengthen their ties with the West.
A security source said on Monday that Israel is considering entering Rafah earlier than planned due to Hamas's refusal to accept a deal to release the hostages. "The answer that Hamas gave to the mediators is so unequivocally against a deal and it is bringing an offensive in Rafah closer by giant steps," the source told Galei Tzahal.
However, an expert Intel correspondent, Scott Ritter, understands how geopolitics have now changed: “The ‘Missiles of April’ represent a sea-change moment in Middle Eastern geopolitics—the establishment of Iranian deterrence that impacts both Israel and the United States. While emotions in Tel Aviv, especially among the more radical conservatives of the Israeli government, run high, and the threat of Israeli retaliation against Iran cannot be completely discounted, the fact is the underlying policy objective of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu over the past 30-plus years, namely to drag the US into a war with Iran, has been put into a checkmate by Iran.” Source
Iran’s retaliatory attack on Israel will go down in history as one of the greatest victories of this century https://www.theburningplatform.com/2024/04/15/the-missiles-of-april/
The response from Israel came on Friday – a token-only attack on Iranian military installations. We wait, and pray for peace; 'standing by’ now (as of writing). Here’s another angle: Astonishing Scenes From Gaza Today – not what we are told!
IN UKRAINE - Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky has admitted that the situation on the front line is deteriorating
Zelensky is blaming the West for its “limited” military assistance. He echoed an earlier statement by the army’s commander-in-chief, Aleksandr Syrsky, who warned of a significant escalation in recent days, with Russian forces attacking Ukrainian positions near the cities of Lyman and Artyomovsk (known as Bakhmut by Ukraine) and advancing towards Chasov Yar. Ukraine’s situation is extremely precarious putting it optimistically. A more realistic term is “catastrophic.”
NEWS FLASH – YOU DON’T OWN WHAT YOU BELIEVE YOU DO – THE BANKSTERS OWN YOU
A Gentle Warning: Great Dispossession Part 1 Here are some definitions: an “account holder” is you, your IRA, your pension plan, your stock and bond investments held at an “account provider” or “intermediary” or “depository institution” such as Merrill Lynch, Schwab, or Wells Fargo. An “entitlement holder” is the definition of you whose ownership claim to your financial assets has been subordinated to the claims of “secured creditors” of the institution where you have your accounts. Please understand that the dispossession of which I write is your dispossession.”
Klaus Schwab (now hospitalised) says that in the ‘Great Reset’ which the World Economic Forum is preparing for us “you will own nothing and you will be happy.” Well, we already own nothing. Our bank deposits and stocks and bonds, in the event of a depository institution going bust, the depository institution’s creditors will own your assets, not you. All assets are pooled and serve as collateral whether or not labelled “segregated.”

THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK – Is SA better off than during APARTHEID?
In South Africa, the paragon of a democratic ‘Rainbow Nation’, the ANC is on course to lose its 30-year total domination of South African politics. Take the most extreme example. Walk around South Africa and ask random people if they PREFERRED APARTHEID to the current regime. I have done this recently.
All I can say is, I speak as I find: https://austrianpeter.substack.com/p/economic-reality-budget-2024-interest?r=hhrlz&utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=web&open=false
BREAKING SOUTH AFRICAN NEWS
Churches are easy targets because attendees are focused on worshipping, they view the buildings as holy and often tithe in cash. Despite the sacredness of holy ground, criminals have shown complete disregard by committing criminal acts. The first warning of these criminal activities was flagged at the end of last year when as many as 1,500 churches gathered and met with the Gauteng community safety MEC Faith Mazibuko over this alarming trend.
Churches reported a rise in criminality where mobile phones and money have been robbed from congregants, with some cases ending in assault, kidnapping, and murder. However, this seems to have continued into 2024, with Pillay noting the recent killings of a caretaker in Phoenix and Catholic Priest William Banda during robberies, that took place a couple of weeks ago and have unsettled church-going communities. Pillay strongly urged church leaders to take proactive measures to protect congregants from crime. “Don’t be so heavenly-minded that you have no earthly good,” he warned. Source
SURVIVAL MONITOR - Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs
According to Maslow (1943, 1954), human needs are arranged in a hierarchy, with physiological (survival) needs at the bottom, and the more creative and intellectually oriented ‘self-actualisation’ needs at the top. Maslow argued that survival needs must be satisfied before the individual can satisfy the higher needs - https://www.simplypsychology.org/maslow.html
Now think about how “less is more”. Here is Eric Peters, at The Burning Platform (TBP), talking about ‘disposability’ and how we can survive the coming catastrophe.
The generation that lived through the Great Depression of 1930-40 learned, through hard necessity, about the value of frugality. About not wasting money on things they didn’t need. Especially things that caused them to waste even more money. My mother saved cash from Dad’s earnings in pots marked for all the household expenses. It was a crude budgetary system but it worked. My grandad would undo string on parcels rather than waste it by cutting.
Here’s just one (edited) example of excessive and unnecessary ‘technical advances’: “Until the 21st century cars were unlocked by inserting a key and opening by hand. Similarly, starting the car was essentially the same process. Then turning the key again shut down the engine and, removing the key, locked the steering column. Simple. Easy.
Then along came techy gimmickery. The physical key was replaced by an electronic fob and electronic push buttons. The door is unlocked automatically, just by touching the door handle (the electronic lock recognises the signal from the fob). The engine is started by pushing a button that registers the signal from the fob and sends a signal to the computer to turn the starter.” Source
INFLATION
JUST IN: Inflation softens in March (5.3%), but interest rates remain high, and retail sales slide as consumers feel pressure from inflation. However, not everyone can accept they're poorer. It's important to remember that we all loathe inflation except for the banksters of course.
That might seem obvious, no one likes being made poorer, but a new paper finds that people hate high inflation even if real wages are rising. Stefanie Stantcheva of Harvard argues that even when inflation leads to bumper wage increases, people attribute their pay rise to their own skill and job performance.
"This perception of diminished living standards due to inflation is intensified by the observation that individuals rarely ascribe the raises they receive during inflationary periods to adjustments for inflation. Rather, they attribute these increases to job performance or career progression." In other words, if inflation is 5% and an employee gets a matching 5% salary increase, they think of it as inflation gobbling up their hard-earned pay rise and feeling worse off than before; inflation is politically toxic.
The whole point of an independent central bank, like SARB, is that it can make crucial, and sometimes unpopular, policy decisions without needing to heed an arbitrary electoral calendar. But, in reality, central bankers are flawed like everyone else. They are subject to pressure from the public, media, and unelected officials who are at pains to appear apolitical.
NARRATIVE BATTLE – Should terminally sick people be given a dignified death?
An Euthanasia Campaign Now Admits When People Die it Saves Money! ‘We have to remove the stigma between life and death’. The campaign for euthanasia has been bathed in altruistic claims for several years. It relieves the terminally ill of pain. It allows them to die with dignity. It gives them control over their demise, which otherwise might not be in a hospital or hospice. It is a right they should be allowed to exercise. But a new report from European Conservative documents that the chief of a health insurance conglomerate in Belgium, Luc Van Gorp, admits is a “money-saving solution.”
My position has always been clear. I was given my earthly body and mind, free of any encumbrance. It does not belong to me, my Creator gifted me a magical temple of His Creation, and therefore His Will must prevail in my life until His final call.

P&S Sir:
"pederast" - that is a new word for me, but in context at the start of the article I deduced and inferred it...but still - I had to check the new word and this is what.....
A pederast is: A man who has sexual relations, especially anal intercourse, with a boy - just to put it on the table and be explicit and frank about it.
I sort of deduced it already in context, but nonetheless hadn't read that word before - so thanks for adding a word to the vocabulary.
Seems to me these faggots are a pile a sticks effing a lot up - and they are shame upon those of us "gay" with joy in life.

I'll read the rest cause I'm learning about South Africa in your writing and South Africa tis one of the founding members of BRICS so probably be advisable to understand the history from the perspective of somebody floated their boat globally and now settled peacefully one can hope when they are in their 9th decade!

Perhaps - you were just facetiously presenting an counter point to this from the link previous:
From Scott Ritter - of all folks - the fella predicted "war" upon Iran so many times that I refuted - but lately I concur mostly with his "take" on the situation at hand - he said this:
~
First and foremost, Iran has been engaged in a strategic policy premised on a pivot away from Europe and the United States, and toward Russia, China, and the Eurasian landmass. This shift has been driven by Iran’s frustration over the US-driven policy of economic sanctions, and the inability and/or unwillingness on the part of the collective West to find a path forward that would see these sanctions lifted. The failure of the Iranian nuclear deal (the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, or JCPOA) to produce the kind of economic opportunities that had been promised at its signing has been a major driver behind this Iranian eastward pivot. In its stead, Iran has joined both the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) and the BRICS forum and has directed its diplomatic energies into seeing Iran thoroughly and productively integrated into both groups.
